Product Overview
The INSTEON Thermostat 2441TH is a smart thermostat designed to control your home's heating and cooling system. It features a clear digital display showing current temperature, humidity, and time.
Current Display Example: 8:30 AM, 73°F indoor temperature, 42% humidity, 58°F outdoor temperature, 76°F heating setpoint, 68°F cooling setpoint.
Thermostat Interface
The thermostat features the following controls and indicators:
- Temperature Adjust: Up and Down arrows to set desired temperature.
- MODE Button: Cycles through heating, cooling, auto, and off modes.

Installation Steps
Step 1: Turn Off Power
Turn off power to your air conditioning and heating system at the electrical service panel. This can be done via circuit breakers or by removing fuses from a fuse panel.

Step 2: Remove Your Old Thermostat
Carefully remove your existing thermostat. Some models are secured with screws, while others may tilt upwards to detach.

Step 3: Verify System Compatibility
Ensure the INSTEON Thermostat is compatible with your air conditioning system. Note: Heat pump and line voltage systems are incompatible with this thermostat.

Step 4: Photograph and Label Wires
Take a clear picture of your current thermostat's wiring before disconnecting any wires. Use the included labels to mark each wire according to its terminal connection. Once labeled, remove the old thermostat's mounting plate.

Step 5: Mount and Connect Wires
Mount the INSTEON Thermostat base to the wall and connect the labeled wires to the corresponding terminals on the thermostat base. Refer to the terminal labels for correct placement.

Step 6: Power Up and Calibration
Close the thermostat cover. Return to your electrical service panel and turn the power back on to your HVAC system. Your INSTEON Thermostat will calibrate automatically and will then be ready for use.
Linking and Configuration
Linking to the INSTEON Hub
Follow the on-screen instructions within your INSTEON Hub app to add the Thermostat to your smart home network.

Setting Temperature Units (°F or °C)
You can configure your thermostat to display temperature in Fahrenheit (°F) or Celsius (°C).
With the INSTEON Hub:
Using the INSTEON Hub app, navigate to the Thermostat settings. Select 'Units' and choose either °F or °C.

Without the INSTEON Hub:
To change temperature units manually on the thermostat:

- Press the 'MODE' button three times (3x [Mode cycle icon]) to cycle through the options.
- Use the Up/Down arrows [Temperature adjust arrows] to select °C or °F.
- Press 'PROGRAM' again to save your selection.
