Product Charging
Charging the Earbuds
The earbuds will automatically start charging when placed in the charging case.
Charging the Charging Case
While charging, the indicator light will flash slowly. When charging is complete, the light will stay on.
Note: The earbuds are not active before the first use. To activate them, place the earbuds in the charging case and press the function button. We recommend fully charging the earbuds before first use.
Checking Battery Level
Checking Earbud Battery Level
The earbud battery level can be checked in two ways:
- While the earbuds are charging.
- When removing the earbuds from the charging case or your ear.
If the earbud indicator light stays on for 5 seconds, the battery level is sufficient. If the indicator light flashes, the battery level is low and they should be charged immediately.
Checking Charging Case Battery Level
Open the charging case lid, or if the case lid is closed, press the function button. If the indicator light stays on for 5 seconds, the battery level is sufficient. If the indicator light flashes, the battery level is low and they should be charged immediately.
Turning On Earbuds
When the charging case is opened, the earbuds automatically turn on.
Wearing the Earbuds
- Remove the earbuds from the charging case. Place them in your ears, paying attention to the Right (R) and Left (L) markings.
- You can attach the earbud tip of the most suitable size to your earbud. (The M-sized tip comes attached to the earbud)
Note: After using the earbuds, place them back into the charging case. This will extend the product's lifespan and reduce the chance of them getting lost.
Establishing Connection
Connecting Earbuds to a New Device
- Place the earbuds in the charging case, then press and hold the function button for 2 seconds. The charging case indicator light will start flashing, indicating the earbuds are waiting for connection.
- Turn on the Bluetooth feature of the device to be connected, click on the connection named "Mi True Wireless Earbuds Basic" to connect. If a password is required, enter "0000".
Connecting Earbuds to Two Different Devices
- Place one earbud in the charging case, then press and hold the function button for 2 seconds. Connect to device A with the earbud.
- After the first earbud is connected to device A, remove the earbud from the charging case. Then, place the other earbud in the charging case and press and hold the function button for 2 seconds. Connect to device B with this earbud. This way, each earbud will be connected to a different device.
Note: Before using this feature, the earbud's connection history must be cleared.
Disconnecting
If the connected device's Bluetooth feature is turned off, or if the earbuds are out of range, the earbuds will automatically enter connection standby mode. If the earbuds remain unconnected for more than 10 minutes, they will enter sleep mode. When the earbuds are put back into the ears, they will exit sleep mode and enter connection standby mode.
Automatic Connection
When the earbuds are in the charging case, they will automatically connect to the last connected Bluetooth device when the case lid is opened. If there is no connection history, or if the earbuds cannot connect to any Bluetooth device, they will automatically enter connection standby mode.
Note: If the earbuds cannot automatically connect to a Bluetooth device, you will need to manually connect them to the desired Bluetooth device.
Due to the nature of Bluetooth signals, in environments with strong 2.4GHz electromagnetic interference, disconnections or inability to hear sound may occasionally occur.
Clearing Connection History
- Place the earbuds in the charging case.
- Press and hold the charging case's function button for 10 seconds. Release the button when the indicator light stays on.
- The earbuds will restart and enter pairing mode. The previous connection history will be cleared.
