Fast Charging DJI Batteries

DJI Power 1000 has an SDC port and an SDC Lite port, and DJI Power 500 has an SDC Lite port. The power station can fast charge a supported DJI intelligent flight battery using an SDC fast charging cable (sold separately).

Diagram: DJI Power 1000 unit showing SDC and SDC Lite ports. Cables connecting to DJI Matrice 30 series, DJI Air 3, DJI Mavic 3 series, and DJI Inspire 3 batteries. An icon shows a battery with a lightning bolt.

Other SDC Output

The power station can also be used with other SDC cables (sold separately) to charge various devices via the SDC/SDC Lite port.

Diagram: DJI Power 1000 unit. Two cable types shown: "Plugg til billader" (Plug for car charger) and "XT60".

DJI Power SDC to Car Charger Plug Power Cable (12 V)

The power station can charge vehicle-powered devices such as a car refrigerator using this cable.

• Ensure the external device is within the cable's output specifications (voltage 13.6 V, current 10 A, power 136 W).

DJI Power SDC to XT60 Power Cable (12 V)

The power station can provide 12V DC input for devices with an XT60 port using this cable.

• DO NOT connect directly to a lithium battery with an XT60 port when using the DJI Power SDC to XT60 power cable. Ensure to connect the power station to a balanced charger first.

Charging the Station

AC Charging

The power station has modes for fast charging and standard charging for AC power charging.

Fast Charging Mode: In fast charging mode, the charging power is higher. It takes approx. 50 minutes to charge the power station to 80%, and approx. 70 minutes to 100%.

Standard Charging Mode: In standard charging mode, the charging power is lower and the operating noise is lower, which is suitable for charging overnight. Charging in standard mode can extend battery life. It takes about two hours to charge the power station to 100%.

Take DJI Power 1000 as an example, follow the steps below for AC power charging:

  1. Open the port cover and connect the DJI Power 1000 to a power outlet using the AC power cable in the package.
  2. Switch the charging mode selector to set the charging mode to 1200W fast charging mode or 600W standard charging mode. For DJI Power 500, the charging mode can be set to 540W fast charging mode or 270W standard charging mode.

Diagram: Illustration showing connection to a 100-120 V AC or 220-240 V AC outlet. A second illustration shows the power station connected, with a switch indicating "1200 W" (fast) and "600 W" (standard).

Solar Charging

The power station can be connected to solar panels using the DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module (MPPT) or the DJI Power Car Power Outlet to SDC Power Cable for solar charging. Both types of accessories are sold separately.

Take DJI Power 1000 as an example, follow the steps below for solar charging:

  1. Unfold the solar panel, support it with the stand, and adjust the panel so it faces the sunlight. Adjust the angle of the stand. It is recommended that the surface of the solar panel is perpendicular to the sunlight. Ensure the solar panel is not covered by obstacles.
  2. Connect the solar panel with an XT60 cable to the solar panel adapter module to begin charging.

Diagram: Illustration of unfolding a solar panel and positioning it towards the sun (90-degree angle indicated). Second illustration shows the power station connected via XT60 cable to a ZIGNES solar panel adapter module.

Car Charging

The DJI Power Car Power Outlet to SDC Power Adapter can be used to connect a car power outlet to the SDC port (or SDC Lite port) on the power station for car charging.

Diagram: DJI Power 1000 unit connected via car charger adapter to a car's power outlet.

USB-C Charging

DJI Power 500 can be charged using a USB Power Delivery charger via the USB-C port for a maximum charging current of 100 W. It also supports simultaneous power input, where two USB-C ports can be used for charging with a maximum power of 200 W.

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

The power station supports Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). Connect the power station to an AC outlet, and connect an external device such as a computer to the power station. Press the AC button once, and [UPS icon] will be displayed on the screen. In this case, the AC outlet powers both the power station and the connected device. Note that UPS is activated by default.

In case of a sudden power outage, the power station can automatically switch to the battery-powered supply within 20 ms, allowing the connected device to remain in normal operation.

Diagram: Illustration showing the power station connected to an AC outlet (1) and a computer (2). The AC button is shown with "AC x1".

DJI Power 1000 Extensions

1/4" Thread Hole

DJI Power 1000 has two 1/4" threaded holes, allowing users to mount the DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module (MPPT) to the power station as follows:

Mount one adapter module to the power station by following Figure A.

Align the mounting holes at the bottom of the brackets with each other, and mount two adapter modules to the power station by following Figure B.

• Users can also mount devices with 1/4" screws to the power station.

Diagram: Figure A shows mounting one adapter module using screws. Figure B shows mounting two adapter modules using screws.

Protective Carrying Case

DJI Power 1000 can be used with the protective carrying case. The case can protect the power station from scratches and dust, and make it more convenient to carry the power station.

Open the front of the case for connecting external devices to the power station, and the back of the case is for storing cables and accessories.

When using the DJI Power 1000 with the protective carrying case, be sure to open the zippers on both sides of the case to avoid blocking the vents, which may cause overheating.
