Product Description (Fig. 1)
The milk frother consists of the following main components:
- 1. Motor Base: The main unit housing the motor.
- 2. Jug: The container for milk or other liquids.
- 3. Whisk (for frothing milk or cocoa): The attachment for creating foam.
- 3a. Smooth Whisk (for hot milk): An alternative attachment for heating milk.
- 4. Lid: Covers the jug during operation.
- 5. Measuring Cap: Used for adding ingredients.
- 6. START/STOP Button: To start and stop the frothing/heating cycle.
- 7. Program Selector Dial: To choose between different pre-set programs.
- 8. LED Indicator Light: Provides visual feedback on the appliance's status.

Rating Plate: The appliance's rating plate contains technical data, the serial number, and markings. It should never be removed.
Before First Use
- Carefully unpack the appliance and remove all packaging materials and labels.
- Clean the motor base (1) with a damp cloth.
- Wash and dry all components thoroughly (refer to the "Cleaning and Care" section).
- Before use, ensure all parts are intact.
Component Assembly (Fig. 1)
- Place the jug (2) onto the motor base (1).
- Insert the whisk (3) into the jug (2) by pushing it onto the appropriate pin.
- Place the lid (4) onto the jug (2) and press down.
Operation - Milk Frothing and Heating
- Remove the lid (4) and pour cold milk into the jug (2), observing the level markings inside.
- Re-attach the lid (4).
- Select the desired program by turning the selector dial (7) in the direction of the red arrow. The appliance will move from standby to operational mode.
- Press the START/STOP button (6) to begin the cycle. The LED indicator (8) will light up solid.
- The cycle ends when an audible signal sounds and the LED indicator (8) turns off.
- You can stop the cycle at any time by pressing the START/STOP button (6).
- Remove the lid (4) by gripping the side tabs.
- Pour the frothed milk using a spoon if necessary.
Tip: Adding sugar or liquid sweeteners (honey, agave syrup, maple syrup, etc.) is recommended at the end of the cycle.
Operation - Preparing Cocoa
- Remove the lid (4) and pour the cocoa ingredients into the jug (2), observing the level markings and following Smeg's recipe recommendations.
- Select the appropriate program and follow the same procedure as for preparing milk.
Manual Operation
You can select a manual hot or cold cycle.
Manual Hot Cycle:
- To start the manual program (M) for heating, press the START/STOP button. The LED indicator (8) will light up solid. The whisk speed and temperature will increase gradually during the cycle. You can interrupt the cycle by pressing START/STOP when the desired consistency is reached.
Manual Cold Cycle:
- By pressing and holding the START/STOP button for approximately 3 seconds, the whisk will start frothing the milk without heating it. The LED indicator (8) will blink throughout the cycle. You can interrupt the cycle by pressing START/STOP when the desired consistency is reached.
Note: In both manual modes, the operation will automatically stop after a set time to ensure the product's safety and functionality. The audible signal and the LED indicator (8) turning off indicate the end of the cycle.
Tip: During the operation, the measuring cap (5) can be removed to add powdered ingredients like instant coffee, instant cappuccino, or instant tea.
Cleaning and Care
Important: Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down. Never immerse the motor base (1) in water or other liquids.
- Remove the whisk (3).
- Remove the jug (2) from the motor base.
- The whisk (3), lid (4), measuring cap (5), and jug (2) are dishwasher safe.
- The motor base (1) can be cleaned with a damp cloth, followed by a dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive detergents or materials.

Recipes
Hot Cocoa (for two cups)
Ingredients:
- Whole milk: 250 ml
- Dark chocolate flakes: 90 g
Preparation:
- Pour milk into the jug.
- Add chocolate flakes.
- Close the lid.
- Select the hot cocoa program (SSS).
- Press the START/STOP button and wait for the program to finish.
Cappuccino (for two cups)
Ingredients:
- Whole milk: 200 ml
- Coffee: 80 ml
- Small coffee: 40 ml
Preparation:
- Pour coffee into the cup.
- Pour milk into the milk frother jug.
- Close the lid.
- Select the program for hot milk with dense foam (S) or light foam ( ).
- Press the START/STOP button and wait for the program to finish.
- Pour the milk foam over the coffee.
- Add a spoonful of sugar or sweetener if desired.
Iced Espresso Macchiato (for two cups)
Ingredients:
- Whole milk: 200 ml
- Coffee: 80 ml
- Ice cubes: 4
Preparation:
- Place ice cubes in 2 glasses.
- Prepare coffee with the coffee maker and pour it over the ice in the glasses.
- Add a spoonful of sugar or sweetener if desired.
- Pour the milk into the milk frother jug.
- Close the lid.
- Select the program for cold milk with dense foam or light foam according to your preference ( / ).
- Press the START/STOP button and wait for the program to finish.
- Pour the milk foam into the glasses containing coffee and ice.
