Samsung Upgrade Campaign: Terms and Conditions

General Information

1) Organizer: Samsung Electronics Czech and Slovak, s.r.o., located at V Parku 2323/14, 148 00 Prague 4, Czech Republic (Company ID: 28987322, VAT ID: CZ28987322). In the Slovak Republic, the organizer operates through its branch Samsung Electronics Czech and Slovak, s. r. o., organizačná zložka, located at Business Center IV, Galvaniho 17/C, 821 04 Bratislava, Slovakia (Company ID: 45306281).

2) Eligibility: The campaign is open to individuals aged 18+ with permanent residence or a delivery address in Slovakia. It also includes sole traders and legal entities registered in Slovakia that meet the campaign's participation requirements. Individuals under 18 may participate with written consent from their legal guardian.

3) Campaign Duration: The campaign runs from July 1, 2025, to July 31, 2025, or until stocks are depleted.

4) Discount Offer: Participants can receive a discount on the purchase price of a new Samsung device when trading in an old device. This offer applies only to the purchase of selected Samsung device models listed below, exclusively through https://www.samsung.com/sk/. The discount cannot be applied to new, used, or opened-box items.

Eligible Samsung Devices:

5) Campaign Participation and Discount Conditions (must be met cumulatively):

• a) Purchase Location: Participants must purchase any eligible device exclusively through the e-shop on the website https://www.samsung.com/sk/.
• b) Purchase Confirmation: A purchase is confirmed upon the conclusion of a sales contract for a new device from the Organizer's distribution, as per Article 4 of these Rules. The order (or purchase) of a new device must be made between July 1, 2025, and July 31, 2025. During the purchase of a new device, the participant must express their interest in handing over (recycling) their old device in the shopping cart on https://www.samsung.com/sk/. A detailed description of this process is provided below. By purchasing a device listed in Article 4 of these Rules, filling in the required information for the old device trade-in directly in the shopping cart during the purchase of the new device on https://www.samsung.com/sk/, and handing over the old device simultaneously with the delivery of the new device, the Participant will receive the discount on the purchase price of the new device under the specified conditions.
• c) Trade-in Process: Participants must be among the buyers on https://www.samsung.com/sk/ who expressed interest in handing over their old device for recycling in the specified manner, subsequently handed over the old device, and fulfilled all obligations stipulated in these Campaign Rules.
• d) Discount Eligibility: To be eligible for the discount, at least one of the devices listed in Article 4 of these Rules must be purchased. The intention to use the discount can be expressed as described in Article 5, point b), only between July 1, 2025, and July 31, 2025. Failure to meet this deadline or any other conditions in these Rules will result in the forfeiture of the discount.

Participant and Device Registration in the Campaign

6) General Information:

• a) Campaign Participation: To participate in this promotion, customers must purchase an eligible device on https://www.samsung.com/sk/ between July 1, 2025, and July 31, 2025. In the shopping cart, they must select the delivery option "Delivery with collection of old appliance - FREE" to indicate their interest in recycling their old device. The old device must be handed over simultaneously with the delivery of the new device. Failure to adhere to this timeline will result in the forfeiture of the discount opportunity.
• b) Customer Account: The customer's account is created and identified based on the personal data provided when purchasing the device on https://www.samsung.com/sk/.
• c) Old Device Details: In the shopping cart form on https://www.samsung.com/sk/, participants must provide the parameters of the old device they wish to trade in. Without this information, the order cannot be completed as part of this campaign.
• d) Device Handover: Participants must also hand over their old device for recycling, as per the information provided during the purchase of the new device on https://www.samsung.com/sk/, and after expressing interest in the trade-in.
• e) Eligible Devices: Only newly purchased devices listed in Article 4 of these Rules are eligible for this campaign.
• f) Participation Limit: Each participant is limited to one new device per campaign, as stated in Articles 6 and 7 of these Rules (i.e., a maximum of one discount).

7) Registration of Trade-in (Handover) of Old Device on the Website https://www.samsung.com/sk/ and Subsequent Handover of the Old Device:

• a) Trade-in Process: On the website https://www.samsung.com/sk/, within the shopping cart during the purchase of a new device listed in Article 4 of these Rules, a form will be available. Participants must fill in the brand, type, and parameters of the old device they wish to trade in to receive the discount. By doing so, the participant agrees to the processing of personal data according to these Rules and confirms the truthfulness of the provided information via a declaration. Subsequently, the participant must select the "Delivery with collection of old appliance - FREE" delivery option.
• b) Discount Confirmation: After providing the details of the old device, the participant will see the specific discount amount. The participant is obliged to confirm the method of handing over the old device in the shopping cart on https://www.samsung.com/sk/ when purchasing a new device. This confirmation involves arranging for a free courier pickup of the old device simultaneously with the delivery of the newly purchased device.
• c) Order Confirmation: Upon successful completion of the new device order, the participant will receive further instructions via email.
• d) Organizer's Right to Refuse Trade-in: The Organizer (or the delivery company) reserves the right to refuse the collection of the old device, particularly if the old device is incorrectly specified during the purchase of the new device (e.g., it's a different type of device) or if the old device is not ready for collection at the time of the new device's delivery. The Organizer reminds participants that the old device must be properly disconnected (including from the power supply, drained of water, and all data erased) and generally prepared for easy removal.
• e) Organizer Communication: The Organizer (or the delivery company) is not obligated to send multiple notifications, even if the sent email is flagged as spam by the recipient's service provider, which the Organizer cannot verify.
• f) Email Confirmation: If a participant does not receive a confirmation email from the Organizer, they should check their SPAM folder, as the Organizer's message might have been marked as SPAM by their internet service provider or an anti-spam filter. If the confirmation email cannot be found, the participant must immediately contact the campaign hotline to resolve the issue. The Organizer is not responsible for any loss of discount due to non-delivery or loss of the purchase contract email, delays on the participant's side, or misuse of the discount due to unauthorized access to the participant's email account.

Discount Description and Application

8) Discount Description:

• a) Discount Eligibility: By purchasing an eligible device as per Article 4, expressing interest in trading in an old device via the shopping cart on https://www.samsung.com/sk/, and handing over the old device in accordance with these Rules, the participant is entitled to the discount specified in Article 8) b), provided all conditions in these Rules are met.
• b) Discount Amount: Participants can receive a discount on the purchase price of a new device as detailed in the table below, subject to the condition of handing over an old device. The bonus can be applied according to Articles 5 to 7 of these Rules for the purchase of devices listed in Article 4 of these Rules.

Discount based on the type of old device handed over (for recycling):

• c) Discount Application: After specifying the old device in the shopping cart during the purchase of a new device, the discount will be automatically applied to the purchase price of the new device.
• d) Consumer Rights: If the participant is a consumer under Slovak law (Act No. 102/2014 Coll. on consumer protection in the sale of goods or provision of services based on distance contracts or contracts concluded outside the seller's premises), the discount is valid only if the consumer does not exercise their right to withdraw from the distance purchase contract without giving a reason within the legal period as per §7 of Act No. 102/2014 Coll. The discount is also not applicable if a buyer who is not a consumer exercises a similar right to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason, as per the seller's terms and conditions.
• e) Discount Conditions: To receive the discount, the participant must purchase a new device, select the "Delivery with collection of old appliance - FREE" option, and hand over their old device in accordance with these Rules and the specifications provided during the purchase of the new device. All other requirements outlined in these Rules must also be met.
• f) Forfeiture of Discount: If the participant fails to fulfill their obligation to hand over the old device to the carrier as per these Rules simultaneously with the delivery of the new device, or if the carrier refuses to accept the old device for a valid reason (see Article 7, point d) of these Rules), the participant will forfeit the discount. In such a case, the participant is obliged to pay the Organizer (or the carrier) the full purchase price of the new device (or the difference representing the discount that the participant is not entitled to for the aforementioned reason) before the delivery of the new device.
• g) Recycling of Old Device: The Organizer informs participants that the old device handed over to the Organizer for free collection as part of this promotion to receive a discount on the new device is intended for recycling (or ecological disposal) and has no resale value. Once handed over, the old device cannot be returned to the participant under any circumstances, even if the purchase contract for the new device is canceled. Furthermore, the participant is not entitled to any compensation or reward (other than the discount) for the handed-over old device.

Other Provisions

9) Proof of Purchase: Participants are required to keep the tax document (cash receipt or invoice) proving the purchase of the device. Each participant must request a tax document from the seller that includes all necessary information, such as the exact date of purchase and device specifications. Tax receipts without this information will not be considered valid.

10) Verification and Fraud Prevention: The Organizer reserves the right to request further verification to determine eligibility for the discount in cases where there is suspicion of fraudulent activity by the participant to claim the discount. Participants are obliged to provide the requested information or documents within 10 days in the specified format. The Organizer reserves the right to make the final decision in disputed cases regarding whether the participant has complied with all campaign participation rules and reserves the right to refuse the discount claim. If the Organizer has reasonable grounds to suspect that a participant has acted fraudulently to claim a discount from the campaign, the Organizer has the right to exclude such a participant from the campaign without entitlement to the discount.

11) Agreement to Terms: By registering, participants agree to the campaign terms and conditions and commit to adhering to them in full. Participants further declare that they have familiarized themselves with the terms of personal data processing in accordance with these rules and have understood them.

13) Legal Recourse: Legal action to claim participation or discounts in the campaign is excluded.

14) Final Results: Campaign results are final and not subject to appeal. The Organizer reserves the right to replace announced discounts with similar types of discounts of equivalent value and to change the conditions for providing discounts.

16) Campaign Modifications: The Organizer reserves the right to terminate the campaign in exceptional and fully justified cases. The Organizer is authorized to change the campaign rules or the technical or organizational aspects of the campaign. Any changes to the Rules will be effective immediately upon publication on the campaign website https://www.samsung.com/sk/. If a participant does not agree with the changes to the campaign rules, they are entitled to terminate their participation in the campaign free of charge by providing a unilateral notification to the Organizer via the website https://www.samsung.com/sk/ or by calling the hotline at 0800 726 786.

17) Promotion Combinations: This campaign cannot be combined with other promotional offers, particularly those for purchasing appliances for multiple households.

18) Governing Law: This campaign is governed by Slovak law.
