USER MANUAL
Introduction
The Metron V2L-MG adapter is designed to power various standard 230 Vac electrical devices, such as power tools, cookers, ovens, refrigerators, lights, computers, and to charge electric bicycles/scooters/etc., using the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) system found in MG electric vehicles. Socket outlet overtemperature protection function description:
The V2L-MG adapter features a high-quality socket built-in that prevents overheating at continuous current of 16 A (13 A for Type G). If a poor-quality plug is inserted, it can dissipate significant heat. The adapter's temperature sensor detects this heat. If the temperature exceeds the allowed range, the adapter signals the car to disconnect power. Once cooled down, the adapter automatically signals the car that power can be re-applied, requiring the user to press "Start" on the display again. This process can repeat.
The adapter is IP rated 44, meaning it is waterproof during usage. Nevertheless, avoid getting plugs wet and do not use the adapter if plugs are wet.
- ⚠ Never draw more than 16 A from the V2L-MG adapter.
- ⚠ Do not use if plugs / sockets are wet.
Cleaning & Storage
Use only a dry or damp cloth for cleaning the unplugged adapter. Do not use cleaning detergents. Secure the adapter while transporting it in your vehicle to avoid damage. Store in a dry place.
- ⚠ The adapter must be completely unplugged before cleaning.
- Avoid water getting to contact parts.
- Secure adapter while transporting.
Disposal
The ♲ symbol indicates the requirement for separate disposal of electrical and electronic waste. These devices may contain hazardous substances. Please take such devices to a designated collection point for electrical and electronic equipment recycling and do not dispose of them in regular household waste. For more information, contact local waste disposal services or the product vendor.
