Mounting the Fixture (Refer to Fig. 1)

Shut off the power at the circuit breaker box. Remove the old fixture and all hardware from the Junction Box.
Carefully unpack your new fixture and lay out all the parts on a clear area. Take care not to lose any small parts necessary for installation.
Thread the two mounting screws about 1/4" into the pre-drilled holes in the mounting plate, spaced the same distance apart as the holes in the canopy (A).
Attach the mounting plate to the Junction Box with the two Junction Box Screws as shown. The side of the mounting plate marked "GND" must face out. The junction box is not included.
Slide the electrical wires through the tube (B) and canopy (A), then turn clockwise until tight.
While holding the lamp body towards the ceiling, connect the electrical wires as shown in Fig. 2, making sure that all wire nuts are secured. You may have to wrap the connections with electrical tape. If your outlet has a ground wire (green or bare copper), connect the fixture's ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the fixture's ground wire directly to the Mounting strap with the green screw provided. After wires are connected, tuck them carefully inside the Junction Box.
Raise the canopy onto the Junction box, aligning screws on the mounting plate with mounting holes in the canopy, and lock it securely with the column nuts (D).
Install the light bulbs (not included) in accordance with the fixture's specifications. NOTE: DO NOT EXCEED THE SPECIFIED WATTAGE!

Your installation is now complete. Return power to the junction box and test the fixture.

This diagram illustrates the mounting process. It shows a Junction Box (not included), a Mounting Plate with pre-drilled holes for Mounting Screws, and a Green Screw (GND) for grounding. The canopy (labeled A) attaches to the mounting plate, with a tube (labeled B) and other components (labeled C, D) for securing the fixture.

This diagram details the electrical connections. It shows:

Fixture Black Wire (typically Hot)
Fixture White Wire (typically Neutral)
Fixture Green Thread Wire (Ground)
House Wires: Black (Hot), White (Neutral), and Green or Bare Copper (Ground).

Connections are made using wire nuts. The fixture's ground wire should connect to the house ground wire, or directly to the mounting strap if no house ground is available.
