⚠️ WARNING! SHUT POWER OFF AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER. ATTENTION! COUPER LE COURANT AU FUSIBLE OU UN DISJONCTEUR.
ASSEMBLING THE FIXTURE (Fig.1)
The fixture assembly involves connecting several parts. A loop (A) secures a cove (B) to the lamp body (D). A pipe thread (C) attaches to the lamp body. A candle sleeve (G) fits over the lamp holder. Screws (E) are used to secure the assembly to the post (F, not included).
- Shut off the power at the circuit breaker and remove the old fixture, including the single bar.
- Carefully unpack your new fixture and lay out all the parts on a clear area. Take care not to lose any small parts necessary for installation.
- Put the candle sleeve (G) over the lamp holder.
- Install the light bulbs (Not Included) in accordance with the fixture's specifications. NOTE: DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE RATING!
- Attach the pipe thread (C) into the shade of the lamp body (D), aligning the box top center screw hole with the pipe thread, by turning it clockwise until tight. Attach the cove (B) to the lamp body (D), then lock it securely with the loop (A).
- Attach the assembly lamp body onto the post (F, not included) and lock it securely with the screws (E).
CONNECTING THE WIRES (Fig.2)
Wire connections are made as follows: The fixture's black wire connects to the house's black (hot) wire. The fixture's white wire connects to the house's white (neutral) wire. The fixture's bare copper or green ground wire connects to the house's green or bare copper ground wire, or to the green ground screw on the mounting plate.
- Connect the electrical wires as follows: Connect the Black wire from the fixture to the black house (hot) wire. Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) house wire. Make sure all wire nuts are secured. You may wrap the connections with electrical tape. If your outlet box has a ground wire (green or bare copper), connect the fixture's ground wire to it. Otherwise, attach the bare copper fixture wire to the green ground screw on the mounting plate.
- Tuck the wire connections neatly into the post.
Your installation is now complete. Return power to the junction box and test the fixture.
