CARE AND USE INSTRUCTIONS
YITAMOTOR 6" Running Boards for 1999-2016 Ford F-250/F-350 Crew Cab
Before Installation
Read these instructions carefully before starting installation. Proper tools will improve the quality of installation and reduce the time required.
If missing parts or any damage are found, please take a picture and contact customer support. Professional installation is highly recommended. Periodically check to ensure all mounting hardware remains secure and tight.
Step 1: Prepare Inner Rocker Panel
- Locate (3) mounting positions on each side of the vehicle.
- Remove rubber plugs from the inner rocker panel.
- Insert clip nuts into the existing holes in the inner rocker panel.
Detail: Insert an M10 clip nut onto the square hole and over the smaller adjacent hole, ensuring the threads are inside the inner rocker panel.
Orientation: Driver Left Side [arrow] Front
Note: On some vehicles, the mounting holes may not align with the factory holes. In such cases, drill out the holes using a 7/16" drill bit.

Step 2: Attach Brackets
- Attach the bracket onto the inner rocker panel and secure it with (2) M10 hex bolts, (2) M10 flat washers, and (2) M10 lock washers.
- Secure the bracket onto the pinch weld with (2) M10 hex bolts, (4) M10 flat washers, (2) M10 lock washers, and (2) M10 hex nuts.
Components for this step: (2) M10 clip nuts, (2) M10 flat washers, (2) M10 lock washers, (2) M10 hex bolts.

Step 3: Mount Step Bar
- Remove (6) M8 hex bolts and (6) M8 flat washers from the step bar.
- Slide the mounting tracks to their proper positions.
- With assistance, lift and attach the step bar to the brackets. Secure the step bar on the brackets with (6) M8 hex bolts and (6) M8 flat washers.

Step 4: Final Tightening and Checks
- Tighten M10 hex bolts and nuts on the vehicle with 30 ft-lbs. torque.
- Adjust the step bar to be level and tighten M8 hex bolts with 15 ft-lbs. torque.
- After the step bar is installed, perform periodic checks to ensure all mounting hardware remains secure and tight.
