YITAMOTOR 6" Running Boards Installation Guide for 2019-2025 Chevy Silverado & 2020-2025 GMC Sierra Double Cab
Before Installation
Read this instruction carefully before starting installation. Proper tools will improve the quality of installation and reduce the time required. If missing parts or any damage found, please take a picture and contact YITAMOTOR. Professional installation is highly recommended. Perform periodic checks to ensure all mounting hardware remains secure and tight.
Step 1: Mounting Position Identification
Locate Mounting Positions and Remove Plugs
- Locate three (3) mounting positions on each side of the vehicle's inner rocker panel.
- Remove the rubber plugs from these identified mounting positions on the inner rocker panel.

Step 2: Initial Bracket Attachment
Attach Brackets to Rocker Panel
- Attach a bracket to the inner rocker panel.
- Secure the bracket using two (2) M8 hex bolts and two (2) M8 flat washers.
- Repeat this process to install the remaining brackets. Do not fully tighten the bolts at this stage.

Step 3: Step Bar Installation
Secure Step Bars to Brackets
- Remove six (6) M8 hex bolts and six (6) M8 flat washers from the step bar assembly.
- Slide the mounting tracks on the step bar to the proper positions.
- With assistance, lift and attach the step bar assembly to the previously installed brackets.
- Secure the step bar to the brackets using six (6) M8 hex bolts and six (6) M8 flat washers.
- Repeat this process to install the step bar on the other side of the vehicle. Do not fully tighten the bolts at this stage.

Step 4: Final Tightening and Checks
Torque Bolts and Perform Checks
- Tighten all M8 hex bolts and nuts to the vehicle with a torque of 15 ft-lbs.
- Adjust the step bar to ensure it is level, then tighten the M8 hex bolts to 15 ft-lbs.
- After the step bar is fully installed, perform periodic checks to ensure all mounting hardware remains secure and tight.
