YITAMOTOR 6" Running Boards Installation Guide
Before Installation
Read this instruction carefully before starting installation. Proper tools will improve the quality of installation and reduce the time required. If missing parts or any damage found, please take a picture and contact YITAMOTOR. Professional installation is highly recommended. Perform periodic checks to ensure all mounting hardware remains secure and tight.
Step 1: Prepare Inner Rocker Panel
- Locate (4) mounting positions on each side of the vehicle's inner rocker panel.
- Remove rubber plugs from the inner rocker panel at these positions.
- Insert M8 clip nuts into the existing holes in the inner rocker panel. Ensure the clip nut is inserted onto the large hole and over the smaller hole next to it, with the threads facing inside the inner rocker panel.

Step 2: Attach Brackets
- Attach the bracket to the inner rocker panel.
- Secure the bracket using (2) M8 hex bolts, (2) M8 flat washers, and (2) M8 lock washers.
- Repeat this process to install the other brackets. Do not fully tighten the hardware at this stage.

Step 3: Install Step Bars
- Remove M8 hex bolts and M8 flat washers from the step bar.
- Slide the mounting tracks on the step bar onto the previously installed brackets.
- With assistance, lift and attach the step bar to the brackets using (2) M8 hex bolts and (2) M8 flat washers for each bracket.
- Repeat to install the other side step bar. Do not fully tighten the hardware yet.

Step 4: Final Tightening
- Tighten all M8 hex bolts on the vehicle to 15 ft-lbs torque.
- Adjust the step bar to the level position and then tighten all M8 hex bolts to 15 ft-lbs torque. Perform periodic checks to ensure all mounting hardware remains secure and tight.
