Ecler NIMBO-24 Loudspeaker User Manual
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the Ecler NIMBO-24 loudspeaker.
1. Safety Precautions
Important Preliminary Note: The lightning symbol with an arrow inside an equilateral triangle warns the user about non-isolated dangerous voltage within the product housing that could cause electric shock. The exclamation mark inside an equilateral triangle indicates important information for operation and maintenance in the accompanying documents.
WARNING (if applicable): Connections marked with the "⚡" symbol may pose a risk of electric shock. External wiring connected to the terminals must be done by qualified personnel or with pre-assembled cables.
WARNING: For fire and electric shock protection, the device must always be protected from moisture and humidity.
CAUTION: Class I safety devices must only be connected to grounded power outlets.
CAUTION: Ecler products have a long lifespan of over 10 years. This product must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste under any circumstances. Please dispose of it at the nearest waste recycling center for electrical and electronic waste.
1.1 Important Safety Instructions
- Read this manual thoroughly.
- Keep this manual in a safe place.
- Observe all warning notices.
- Follow all instructions.
- Do not use the device near water.
- Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Ensure that all ventilation openings remain unobstructed. Install the device according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Do not place the device near heat sources such as radiators, ovens, or other devices that generate heat (including amplifiers).
- Never disable the safety function of a polarized or grounded plug. A polarized plug has two pins of different widths. A grounded plug has two pins and a third grounding pin. This third pin is for your safety. If the supplied plug does not fit your socket, have it replaced by a qualified electrician.
- Ensure that the power cord cannot be crushed, twisted, or stepped on, especially in the area of the plugs, connection sockets, and where the cable exits the device.
- Use only accessories/spare parts specified by the manufacturer.
- Disconnect the device from the mains during thunderstorms or when it will not be used for an extended period.
- Have service work performed only by qualified customer service. Service work is necessary when the device has been damaged in any way, e.g., damage to the power cord or plug, if liquids or foreign objects have entered the device, if the device has been exposed to rain or moisture, if it is not functioning properly, or if it has been dropped.
- Separation from the power supply: Turning off the device using the POWER switch interrupts all functions and indicator lights. However, to completely disconnect the device from the mains, the power cord must be unplugged from the mains socket. This must always be easily accessible.
- The device is connected to a grounded socket via a power cord.
- The specifications are located on the lower part of the device.
- Protect the device from dripping or splashing water, and do not place containers filled with liquids (e.g., vases) on it.
1.2 Cleaning
Always clean the device only with a soft, dry cloth or a cloth slightly dampened with water and neutral liquid soap. Ensure that no liquid enters the device through any openings. Do not use alcohol, gasoline, solvents, or abrasive cleaners for cleaning.
NEEC AUDIO BARCELONA, S.L. assumes no liability for damages to persons, animals, or objects resulting from non-compliance with the above warnings.
2. Warranty and Environmental Protection
Thank you for choosing the Ecler NIMBO-24 model. To achieve optimal operational capability and performance, it is VERY IMPORTANT to read and consider the instructions in this manual before connecting the device.
For optimal device function, we recommend that maintenance be carried out exclusively by our authorized technical service partners.

4. Description and Features
The NIMBO-24 is a high-class 2-way passive loudspeaker with 80W RMS power handling and a compact design with extended low-frequency response. It is suitable for outdoor applications. Its design, reminiscent of a small cloud, is the result of Ecler's engineering expertise and was created in collaboration with architects and interior designers.
At its acoustic center are two 4" woofers and a 1" silk dome tweeter, which provide uniform sound distribution as a point sound source.
The nominal impedance of the loudspeaker can be set to 4 Ohms or 16 Ohms using a switch on the front, behind the logo, without needing to remove the aluminum front grille.
The robust VEASY wall mount is included in the delivery scope, allowing for tilt and swivel angle adjustment with a single screw. It is quick and easy to install, with notches and markings for repeating loudspeaker orientation.
4.1 Key Features
- 2-way passive loudspeaker for surface and ceiling mounting.
- 4" woofers with four-layer voice coil for improved performance and bass frequency response.
- 1" silk dome tweeter with Neodymium magnet and ferrofluid.
- Glass fiber reinforced, resonance-free ABS compact enclosure.
- Wide dispersion pattern.
- VEASY bracket, VESA 75 compatible, robust, quick and easy to install, with notches and markings for repeating loudspeaker orientation.
- Weatherproof, IP-44 protection rating.
- Available in White (RAL9003), Black (RAL9005), Gold (RAL1036, approx.), and Titanium (RAL9007 MATT).
- Individual RAL lacquering possible.
5. Connection
The connection cable that connects the amplifier outputs to the loudspeakers must be of high quality, with sufficient cross-section, and as short as possible. This is particularly important when bridging long distances and the load is low (4-16Ω): up to 10m, a cable with a cross-section of at least 2.5mm² is recommended; for longer cable lengths, a cross-section of 4 to 6mm² is recommended. A simple method to determine the necessary cross-section is to apply the following formula, accepting losses of approximately 4%:
Cross-section in mm² = Length in m / Impedance of the loudspeaker in Ω
Always pay attention to polarity. The loudspeaker features an INPUT connection of the Euroblock type, as well as a STACK connection for parallel connection of other loudspeakers, also of the Euroblock type.
A detailed connection diagram can be found on the next page.

5.2 Outdoor Installation
When installing outdoors, route the cables in a U-shape as shown in the illustration and insert them from bottom to top into the rubber grommet on the loudspeaker.
For outdoor installation, use a round tool to make holes in the grommets. Avoid straight cuts. Also, ensure you use round cables instead of flat cables.

6. Impedance Selector Switch
The NIMBO-24 operates at low impedance. On its front (behind the logo), it features a switch with 2 positions, allowing the impedance to be set without removing the front grille.

Download the Ecler Loudspeakers EQ Settings, which can be imported into the EclerNet Manager software.
8. Recommended Amplifiers
The recommended amplifier output power for the NIMBO-24 is 150W RMS.
9. Installation Location and Installation
9.1 Installation Location
Mount the loudspeaker on a stable and firm surface. There should be no obstacles between the loudspeakers and the audience. High frequencies are very directional compared to low frequencies, so any obstacle can affect the frequency response. To reach a very large audience, better sound dispersion over distance is achieved by hanging the loudspeakers high up.

9.2 Installation
NIMBO loudspeakers are supplied with the VEASY wall mount, compatible with VESA 75 and easy to mount. The robust VEASY wall mount allows for tilt and swivel angle adjustment with a single screw. Quick and easy to mount, with notches and markings that facilitate repeating the loudspeaker orientation.
