WARNING: SHOCK HAZARD - DO NOT OPEN

AVIS: RISQUE DE CHOC ÉLECTRIQUE - NE PAS OUVRIR

The lightning symbol with an arrow inside an equilateral triangle alerts users to the presence of dangerous, uninsulated voltage within the apparatus that could pose a risk of electric shock.

The exclamation mark symbol within an equilateral triangle alerts users to important operation and maintenance instructions accompanying the product.

WARNING (If applicable): Terminals marked with the symbol "⚡" can carry sufficient magnitude to pose a risk of electric shock. External wiring connected to the terminals must be installed by qualified personnel, or pre-made cables must be used.

WARNING: To prevent electric shock or fire risk, do not expose this equipment to rain or humidity.

WARNING: Class I apparatus must be connected via a plug with a protective earth connection.

WARNING: Ecler products have a long service life, over 10 years. This product must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste under any circumstances. Please take it to the nearest electrical and electronic waste treatment center.

1.2 Important Safety Instructions:

  1. Read these instructions.
  2. Keep these instructions.
  3. Heed all warnings.
  4. Follow all instructions.
  5. Do not use this apparatus near water.
  6. Clean only with a dry cloth.
  7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
  8. Do not install near heat sources such as radiators, stoves, or other heat-producing appliances, including amplifiers.
  9. Do not override the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades, one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit in your outlet, consult an electrician to replace the obsolete outlet.
  10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
  11. Use only attachments specified by the manufacturer.
  12. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods.
  13. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
  14. Power disconnection: Turning the POWER switch off stops all functions and indicators of the amplifier, but complete disconnection of the apparatus is achieved by unplugging the power cord from its connector. Therefore, it should always be easily accessible.
  15. The equipment connects to a grounded outlet via the power cord.
  16. Part of the product labeling is located on the bottom of the unit.
  17. This apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.

1.3 Cleaning:

To clean the apparatus, use only a soft, dry cloth or one slightly dampened with water and a neutral liquid detergent, then dry with a clean cloth. Ensure that water never enters the apparatus through any opening. Never use alcohol, gasoline, solvents, or abrasive substances.

NEEC AUDIO BARCELONA, S.L. disclaims any responsibility for damages that may occur to persons, animals, or objects due to non-compliance with the above warnings.

4. Description and Characteristics

The NIMBO24 is a high-performance passive, full-range, 2-way loudspeaker with an 80W RMS power output, suitable for outdoor installation. It features a compact design inspired by a cloud shape, a result of Ecler's engineering expertise and collaboration with architects and interior designers.

It includes 2 x 4" woofers and a 1" silk dome tweeter located at the acoustic center, acting as a single point source for uniform sound dispersion.

It can operate at both 4 Ω and 16 Ω low impedance thanks to a front switch located behind the logo, allowing impedance modification without removing the aluminum front grille.

It includes the robust VEASY wall mount, which allows for tilt and swivel adjustment using a single screw.

4.1 Main Characteristics

5. Connections

The connection cable linking the amplifier outputs and the loudspeakers should be of good quality, with sufficient gauge, and as short as possible. This is especially important for long distances and low loads (4-16Ω). For distances up to 10m, a gauge of at least 2.5 mm² is recommended, and for longer distances, 4 or 6 mm². A simple way to determine the required gauge, assuming approximately 4% loss, is using the following formula:

Cable Gauge (mm²) = Length (m) / Speaker Impedance (Ω)

Important: Always respect polarity. The loudspeaker includes a Euroblock INPUT connector and a second Euroblock STACK connector, facilitating parallel connection.

Refer to the detailed connection diagram on the following page.

Diagram 1: Shows the INPUT and STACK Euroblock connectors with rubber grommets. Cables are connected to the STACK terminal and the INPUT terminal.

Diagram 2: Shows the rear of the speaker with the cover being fixed with a screw.

5.2 Outdoor Installation

For outdoor installations, guide the cables in a tilted "U" shape as shown in the image, entering the rubber cable glands from bottom to top.

For outdoor installations, use a round tool to pierce the cable glands. Avoid making straight cuts. Also, ensure you use round profile cables instead of flat cables.

6. Impedance Selector

The NIMBO-24 operates in low impedance mode. It features a 2-position switch on the front panel (behind the logo) that allows you to select its operating mode without removing the grille.

8. Recommended Amplifier

The recommended amplifier output power for the NIMBO-24 is 150 W RMS.

9. Location and Installation

9.1 Location

As general rules, observe the following:

Place the loudspeaker on a solid and firm surface. There should be no obstacles between the acoustic enclosures and the audience. High frequencies, unlike low frequencies, are highly directional, and any obstacle causes attenuation in their response. For large audiences, better sound propagation at a distance will be achieved by raising the enclosures higher.

9.2 Installation

The NIMBO loudspeaker includes the VEASY wall mount, compatible with VESA 75 and easy to install. The robust VEASY wall mount allows for tilt and swivel adjustment with a single screw. It is quick and easy to install, and includes guides and marks for repeating speaker orientation.

Consult the detailed installation diagram on the following page.
