Introduction
The J-Tech Digital 18Gbps Audio Extractor can extract audio signals from any HDMI compliant source to digital optical or analog stereo L/R audio outputs. It supports video resolution up to 4K2K@50/60Hz (YUV444) for both input and output. The device supports 10-bit HDR (High Dynamic Range) pass-through and HDMI high resolution digital audio format pass-through, including LPCM 2CH, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Atmos, and DTS-HD Master Audio, with audio sampling rates up to 192 KHz. HDCP2.2, ARC, and CEC bypass are supported.

Operation Controls and Functions
5.1 Front Panel
The front panel features the following ports and controls:
- 1. DC 5V: Connect the 5V/1A adaptor to an AC wall outlet for power supply.
- 2. Power LED: System power indicator light.
- 3. HDMI In: Connect this port to HDMI source devices such as a Blu-ray player or PS4.
- 4. ARC: This is the ARC (Audio Return Channel) Function On/Off Key.
- 5. TV / 2.0CH / 5.1CH: This switch allows users to select the audio format according to the TV's output, typically between 2.0CH (stereo) or 5.1CH (surround sound).
5.2 Rear Panel
The rear panel features the following output ports:
- 1. HDMI Out: Connect this port to HDMI display devices such as a TV or Projector.
- 2. Optical Out: Connect this port to an audio amplifier's optical audio input port (S/PDIF).
- 3. L/R Out: Connect this port to an audio amplifier or TV's L/R analog audio input port.
Connection Diagram
This section illustrates the typical connection setup for the J-Tech Digital audio extractor:
- A source device, such as a "DVD or Blu-ray Player", connects via HDMI to the "HDMI In" port on the front of the audio extractor.
- The "HDMI Out" port on the rear of the extractor connects to a display device like a "UHDTV" or an "AV Receiver" via HDMI.
- Audio can be outputted from the extractor via two methods:
- "Optical Out" (S/PDIF) connects to an "AV Receiver" or other compatible audio equipment.
- "L/R Out" (3.5mm Stereo Mini-jack) connects to "Active Speakers" or other analog audio inputs.
- The device is powered by connecting a "Power Supply" to the "DC 5V" port on the front panel.
