- Utilizes a single UTP/STP LAN cable (CAT-5E/6) for long-distance transmission, replacing traditional HDMI cables.
- UTP/STP cable termination adheres to the IEEE-568B standard.

- POC (Power over Cable) feature allows the Receiver (RX) to be powered by the Transmitter (TX).
- Compliant with HDCP 2.2 and HDCP 1.4 standards.
- Supports Full HD, including 1080p@60Hz@48b/pixels, 3D, and 4Kx2K resolutions.
- LED indicators display the power status.
- Includes ESD protection.

Connections and Operations
- Connect the HDMI input source (e.g., HD-DVD, PS3, STB) to the TX unit's HDMI IN port.
- Connect a CAT-5E/6E cable from the TX unit's UTP output to the RX unit's UTP input.
- Connect the HDMI sink (e.g., HD-LCD, HD-DLP) to the RX unit's HDMI OUT port.
- Connect the IR TX UNIT to the IR-Out port of the Transmitter and the IR RX UNIT to the IR-In port of the Receiver.
- Connect the IR RX UNIT to the IR-In port of the Transmitter and the IR TX UNIT to the IR-Out port of the Receiver.
- The Phoenix RS232 Port can be configured for firmware updates or RS232 control signal transmission (default setting is for RS232).
Attention: Please insert and extract cables gently.
Setting Instruction
The switch on the unit is used for bypassing the RS232 signal or for firmware updating.
Refer to the silk prints near the switch. Change the switcher positions to "Program" for firmware update or "Normal" for RS232 transmission.
Update Instruction
- Obtain the Firmware burn package containing all necessary software.
- Connect the unit's RS232 port to a PC using an RS232 cable.
- Power on the unit.
- Extract the zipped firmware file to a directory on your PC (e.g., C:\dir_name).
- Navigate to the directory and double-click the appropriate batch file (Update Source.bat for TX or Update Sink.bat for RX).
- A description of the PC-board link will appear, followed by the burn progress percentage.
- A second stage will verify the EEPROM content, also showing a progress percentage.

Typical Application
The diagram shows a typical setup: A Blue-Ray Player connected to the Transmitter's HDMI IN. The Transmitter's UTP output is connected via a CAT5e/6 cable to the Receiver's UTP input. The Receiver's HDMI OUT is connected to a TV. IR IN and IR OUT ports on both units are connected to TV remote and Matrix or source remote controllers respectively.
Maintenance
Clean the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, paint thinner, or benzine for cleaning.
Product Service
Damage requiring service: The unit should be serviced by qualified personnel if:
- The DC power supply cord or AC adapter is damaged.
- Objects or liquids have entered the unit.
- The unit has been exposed to rain.
- The unit does not operate normally or shows a marked change in performance.
- The unit has been dropped or the cabinet is damaged.
Servicing Personnel: Do not attempt to service the unit beyond the instructions provided. Refer all other servicing to authorized personnel.
Replacement parts: Use only manufacturer-specified parts or parts with equivalent characteristics. Unauthorized substitutes may pose hazards.
Safety check: After repairs, request a safety check to ensure the unit is in proper working condition.
Warranty
J-Tech Digital offers a warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship. The warranty period is 2 years for parts and 90 days for labor, starting from the original purchase date. The company may choose to repair the product with new or refurbished parts or replace it with a new or refurbished product.
Mail-in Service: Pack the unit securely, prepay shipping, and ensure adequate insurance. Include a letter detailing the complaint and contact information.
Limited Warranty Limits and Exclusions:
- This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship but excludes normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, shipping damage, or damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, improper installation, modification, or acts of God.
- J-Tech Digital is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including lost time or costs associated with removal/re-installation.
- Parts and service not covered by this warranty are the customer's responsibility.
