I. Introduction
The JTD4KATSW HDMI audio extractor allows you to extract the audio signal from an HDMI connection and transmit it to your other audio devices, including external speakers, soundbars, and wireless headphones.

V. Operation Controls and Functions
- HDMI OUT: Use this port to connect an HDMI cable from the extractor to your HDTV or monitor.
- SPDIF OUT: Use this port to connect an optical fiber cable to an audio amplifier.
- R: Analog audio Right channel output (RED).
- L: Analog audio Left channel output (WHITE).
- DC 5V IN: Used to connect the power interface to an AC wall outlet.
- POWER LED: Indicates the device is receiving power.
- EDID Switch: Use this switch to select either 2.0CH, 5.1CH, or TV EDID modes.
- ARC KEY: Enables & disables ARC function.
- ARC LED: Indicates ARC is enabled.
- HDMI input: Use this port to connect an HDMI cable from the source input device to the extractor.
VI. Application Example
This section describes a typical setup for the JTD4KATSW audio extractor.
Connection Diagram Description:
- A DVD or Blu-ray Player is connected via HDMI to the HDMI IN port of the JTD4KATSW audio extractor.
- The audio extractor is connected via HDMI from its HDMI OUT port to the HDMI input of a TV.
- Audio outputs from the extractor are connected to an Audio amplifier:
- An optical fiber cable connects from the SPDIF OUT port to the audio amplifier.
- RCA cables connect from the R (RED) and L (WHITE) analog audio output ports to the corresponding audio amplifier inputs.
- A Power Supply (5V/1A DC adapter) is connected to the DC 5V IN port of the audio extractor, and then plugged into an AC wall outlet.
The diagram visually illustrates how the source device, the audio extractor, the display (TV), and the audio amplification system are interconnected.
