The Baby Trend® warranty covers workmanship defects within 1 year of purchase. Any product subjected to misuse, abuse, abnormal use, excessive wear and tear, improper assembly, negligence, environmental exposure, alteration or accident, or with an altered/removed serial number invalidates all claims. Any property damage during installation is the sole responsibility of the end user.

Important Safety Warnings

WARNING: Failure to follow these warnings and instructions could result in serious injury or death.

FALL HAZARD: Children have suffered severe head injuries, including skull fractures, when falling from high chairs. Falls can happen suddenly if the child is not restrained properly.

  • Always use restraints and adjust to fit snugly.
  • The tray is not designed to hold the child in the chair.
  • Stay near and watch the child during use.
  • Never allow the child to push away from the table.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: Do not place the High Chair near cords (e.g., window blind cords, drapes, phone cords).

WARNING: The child must be secured in the high chair at all times by the 3-point restraining system, whether in the reclining, semi-reclining, or upright position. The tray is not designed to hold the child in the chair. The high chair should only be used by children capable of sitting upright unassisted and at least 6 months of age. Refer to page 9 for instructions on proper use of the restraint system.

  • Other accessory items may change the balance of the high chair and cause hazardous unstable conditions.
  • Ensure the high chair is fully erect and latched in the open position before allowing the child near it.
  • This high chair is designed for a child with a maximum weight of 40 pounds (18.14 kg).
  • NEVER allow your high chair to be used as a toy.
  • NEVER use this product if there are any loose or missing fasteners, loose joints, broken parts, or torn mesh/fabric. Check before assembly and periodically during use. Contact Baby Trend Customer Service at 1-800-328-7363 for replacement parts, repair, or instructions. NEVER substitute parts.

Assembly Instructions

IMPORTANT! To ensure safe operation, follow these instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.

IMPORTANT! Before assembly and each use, inspect the product for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts, or sharp edges. NEVER use if any parts are missing or broken.

IMPORTANT! Adult assembly is required.

IMPORTANT! Always check that the high chair is locked in the open position before using.

ATTENTION: Carefully remove parts from the box. Check that you have all parts for this model before assembling.

NOTE: Some models may have the seat fabric and insert pre-attached to the seat back.

To Assemble Seat

  1. Locate the seat base. From the rear of the seat base, remove the metal hinge rod from the base. Press the latch down and slide the rod out. [See Fig. 1a and 1b]
  2. Intersect the seat base with the seat back at the joint. Press the latch down to insert the hinge rod through the seat back and seat base. NOTE: Firmly slide the rod until it stops. Ensure the latch is moved up to secure the rod and seat in place. [See Fig. 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d]
  3. Slide the left and right Height Brackets onto the Seat Base. Lock the brackets in place. [See Fig. 3a, 3b]
  4. Slide the Footrest onto the Seat Base. Lock the Footrest into place. [See Fig. 4]
  5. Insert the front tube of the right and left Upper Frame Assemblies into the Height Adjuster. The front tube has holes on the backside. [See Fig. 5]
  6. Squeeze the Release Handles on both sides simultaneously and push the tube through the Height Adjusters until it locks in the highest position. [See Fig. 6]
  7. Insert the front legs into the ends of the front tube of both Upper Frame Assemblies. NOTE: Legs are properly connected when lock buttons align with holes. Ensure buttons are engaged. [See Fig. 7]
  8. Insert the rear legs into the ends of the rear tube of both Upper Frame Assemblies. NOTE: Legs are properly connected when lock buttons align with holes. Ensure buttons are engaged. [See Fig. 8]
  9. Loop the pad's back flap over the top of the Seat Back. Connect the Seat Pad to the Seat Back using the two Elastic Loops, fitting them over the Attachment Tabs near the top harness slots. [See Fig. 9a]
  10. Attach the bottom of the Seat Pad to the Seat Base using the two Elastic Loops at the rear of the pad. These fit over the Attachment Tabs on the Seat Base near where the Seat Back and Seat Base join. [See Fig. 9b]
  11. Attach each anchor hook of the Seat Pad to the side of the seat armrest. Ensure the anchor hook's slot slides through the underside division. [See Fig. 9c, 9d]

To Attach Tray

  1. To attach the Tray, align the grooves on the bottom with the high chair armrests. Squeeze the Tray's release handle and slide the tray onto the armrests. [See Fig. 10a] The Tray has a 3-position adjustment. To adjust, squeeze the release handle located underneath the tray and reposition. Release the handle. Check that the Tray is securely locked. [See Fig. 10b]

To Attach Tray Insert

  1. The dishwasher-safe Tray Insert snaps onto the High Chair Tray and is held by tabs on the sides. Ensure it snaps securely to prevent removal by the child. To remove, unsnap the tabs.
  2. The Tray may be stored on the back legs of the High Chair. Align the holes in the rear of the tray with the small pegs on the back legs. [See Fig. 11]

To Use Safety Belt

WARNING: The highchair should be used only by children capable of sitting upright unassisted and at least 6 months of age.

WARNING: Prevent serious injury or death from falls or sliding out. Always use the restraint system. The child should be secured in the high chair at all times by the 3-point restraining system, in reclining, semi-reclining, or upright position.

  1. Place the crotch strap between your child's legs. Insert the Harness Buckles into the Center Clasp with the Button.
  2. Adjust waist straps for comfort and safety by sliding buckles. Safety straps should fit snugly. [See Fig. 12]

To Release Safety Belt

  1. Push the button on the Center Clasp; the two Harness Buckles will pop free. [See Fig. 13]

Recline Seat

  1. Squeeze the recline lever on the back of the seat and adjust to the preferred recline or upright position. [See Fig. 14] Use caution not to trap arms, hands, or fingers when adjusting recline positions.

Operation

To Adjust Seat Height

WARNING: Do not adjust seat height with child in seat. Adjust seat height before placing your child in the high chair.

WARNING: Always check that the height adjustment bracket is level and both left and right sides are locked before placing child in the high chair.

WARNING: Never rest the height adjustment bracket on the locking pins.

  1. Squeeze the Release Handles on both sides simultaneously and adjust to the ideal position. [See Fig. 15a, 15b] DO NOT adjust with child in the seat.

ATTENTION: Ensure height adjustment locks in the lowest position. DO NOT rest height adjustment brackets on the locking pins. [See Fig. 15c]

To Fold High Chair

The High Chair may be folded with the seat in any height position.

  1. Place seat in the desired height position. Place Seat Back in the most upright position. [See Fig. 16]
  2. Squeeze the tray release handle and slide the tray out. [See Fig. 17]
  3. Hang the tray on the hooks located on the back of the rear leg. [See Fig. 18]
  4. Pull upward on the release levers (on the sides of the frame) and push the rear legs towards the front legs until folded. [See Fig. 19] The chair is now ready to store. DO NOT allow your child to play around a folded high chair as it may fall.

To Unfold High Chair

Read the Warning and see Fig. 19, then reverse the steps above.

WARNING: Do not sit on the frame when the seat is not attached. Do not use the frame as a foot stool. Potential pinch point when opening the frame. DO NOT place fingers here.

To Reattach Seat Pad

NOTE: Some models have the seat pad and insert pre-attached to the seat back.

  1. Thread the non-buckle end of Harness Straps (Harness Attachment Tabs) through the slots in the seat fabric, insert, seat back, and seat base. [See Fig. 20] Once through the slots, rotate the tabs 90 degrees. Ensure straps are firmly in place.
  2. Loop the pad's back flap over the top of the Seat Back. Connect the Seat Pad to the Seat Back with the two Elastic Loops, fitting them over the Attachment Tabs near the top harness slots. [See Fig. 21]
  3. Attach the bottom of the Seat Pad to the Seat Base with the two Elastic loops at the rear of the pad. These fit over the Attachment Tabs on the Seat Base near where the Seat Back and Seat Base join. [See Fig. 22a]
  4. Attach each anchor hook of the Seat Pad to the side of the seat armrest. Ensure the anchor hook's slot slides through the underside division. [See Fig. 22b, 22c]

To Remove Seat Pad

Reverse the previous steps.

Optional Seat Insert

  1. Place the Seat Insert onto the Seat Pad. Refer to step 20. [See Fig. 23]

Care and Maintenance

WARNING: Harness Straps and Basket are NOT washable.

Dishwasher Safe Tray Insert: The Tray Insert is dishwasher safe to 160° F (71° C). Do not use scouring pads on the Tray Insert as they will damage the surface and make it harder to clean.

High Chair/Tray: Clean the high chair and tray after each use with mild dish soap. Use a soft bristle brush, sponge, or cloth to clean the surface or remove food particles. DO NOT submerge the high chair or tray in water. Surface clean only.

Seat Pad and Fabrics: Please refer to the care label on individual soft good pieces for cleaning instructions.

To remove the seat pad: Remove Harness Straps by pushing Harness Attachment Tabs through the harness slots on the Seat Back, Seat Base, and Seat Pad. Remove Elastic Loops from Attachment Tabs on the Seat Base and Seat Back.

To attach the seat pad: Follow instructions in Step 20 to correctly re-thread the safety harness.
