Assembly Steps

1. Step 1

   Attach the two side support beams to the end beams using the Allen key (100006) and screws (100229). Insert three screws (100229) into each end, securing the side beams to the end beams. Ensure the screws are tightened securely.

2. Step 2

   Attach the remaining two end beams to the assembled frame. Use the Allen key (100006) and screws (100229) to secure these beams. Ensure the frame is square and stable.

3. Step 3

   Take the fabric strap and thread it through the pre-drilled holes in the wooden slats. Ensure the strap is evenly distributed and the slats are positioned correctly. The strap should be fed through the slats in a zig-zag pattern.

4. Step 4

   Continue threading the fabric strap through the remaining wooden slats. Ensure each slat is securely held by the strap. The diagram shows how to insert the slats into the strap, ensuring they are correctly oriented.

5. Step 5

   Place the wooden slats onto the support beams. The slats should be evenly spaced. The diagram shows how to insert the ends of the slats into the fabric strap, ensuring they are properly seated.

6. Step 6

   Attach the plastic slat holders (Part 139243) to the wooden slats. These holders help to keep the slats in place and provide adjustable firmness. Slide the holders onto the ends of the slats. The diagram shows two types of holders, one for 'HARD' and one for 'SOFT' settings.

7. Step 7

   Insert the plastic slat holders into the corresponding slots on the side support beams. Ensure the holders are pushed in firmly. The diagram illustrates the correct insertion method.

8. Step 8

   Repeat step 6 and 7 for all wooden slats. Ensure all plastic holders are correctly attached and inserted.

9. Step 9

   Continue attaching the plastic slat holders to the remaining slats. The diagram shows how to slide the holders onto the slats and then insert them into the frame.

10. Step 10

    Continue attaching the plastic slat holders to the remaining slats. The diagram shows the process of sliding the holders onto the slats and then inserting them into the frame.

11. Step 11

    Place the remaining wooden slats onto the frame, ensuring they are evenly spaced and secured by the fabric strap and plastic holders.

12. Step 12

    Secure the end of the slatted base to the frame using the remaining screws (100229) and washers (100823). Insert three screws through the pre-drilled holes in the end beam and into the side support beam.

13. Step 13

    Attach the final two screws (109049) with washers (100823) to secure the end of the slatted base. The diagram shows the correct placement and tightening of these screws.

Adjusting Firmness

The plastic slat holders (Part 139243) allow you to adjust the firmness of the bed base. Slide the holders along the slats to the 'HARD' or 'SOFT' position as indicated on the holder. The diagram shows how to adjust the position of these holders to customize the support.

Final Placement

Place the assembled LEIRSUND slatted bed base into your bed frame. Ensure it fits securely and is level.
