PM-246S Quick Start Guide

This guide provides quick setup instructions for the PM-246S label printer.

Printing on a Computer

The PM-246S label printer is designed to connect to a computer for printing. This section outlines the necessary steps for connection and initial setup.

Initial Setup and Power Connection

  1. Connect the power adapter to the printer. The power adapter is a rectangular block with a cable ending in a round connector that plugs into the printer's power input port.

  2. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet. The printer supports both 115 VAC and 230 VAC power sources.

  3. Turn on the printer by pressing the power button. The power button is a small circular button located on the side of the printer, typically indicated by a power symbol (⏻).

Connecting to a Computer and Loading Labels

  1. Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable. The printer has a USB port, and the cable connects the printer to a USB port on your computer.

  2. Insert the label roll into the printer, ensuring the peelable side of the labels is facing upwards and the labels are straight and smooth. The labels feed from the back into the front slot.

  3. Hold the feeder button on the printer until the blue light flashes two times. This action helps calibrate the labels.

Important Note: Please pay close attention to the spelling of "labelife" in the URL; there is only one "L" in the middle. Labelife is free software.

Driver Installation

Download the corresponding driver for your computer system:

Appendix

1. Chrome Extension Installation

Add the "Labelife" extension from the Chrome Web Store. This extension is compatible with ChromeOS system computers and the MacOS Chrome browser. It is NOT compatible with the Windows Chrome browser.
