Product Overview

The Sharp SPC276 is a digital alarm clock featuring Bluetooth connectivity and built-in sleep sounds. It offers various functions for time setting, alarm management, audio playback, and display customization.

Features

The clock includes the following features:

Diagram Description: The device features a digital display showing the time (e.g., 12:08). Control buttons (TIME, SOUND, BLUETOOTH, ALARM) are located on the front. A prominent rotary dial on the top serves multiple functions including snooze, dimmer, sleep timer, and volume control. Indicator LEDs for PM, Alarm, Sleep Mode, and Bluetooth are also present. The rear of the unit houses the DC 5V power jack and the battery compartment.

Power Supply

Connect the included AC adapter to a standard 120V AC ~ 60Hz mains outlet and plug the other end into the DC 5V jack located on the back of the unit.

Setting the Time

  1. Press and hold the TIME button for 2 seconds to enter time setting mode. The hour digit will flash.
  2. Use the rotary DIAL to adjust the hour. The PM indicator will illuminate when the hour is set to PM.
  3. Press the TIME button again to confirm the hour and make the minute digits flash.
  4. Use the rotary DIAL to adjust the minute.
  5. Press the TIME button to save the settings and exit, or the clock will automatically save and exit after 20 seconds of inactivity.

Setting the Alarm

  1. Press and hold the ALARM button for 2 seconds to enter alarm setting mode. The hour digit will flash.
  2. Use the rotary DIAL to adjust the hour. The PM indicator will illuminate for PM hours.
  3. Press the ALARM button again to confirm the hour and make the minute digits flash.
  4. Use the rotary DIAL to adjust the minute.
  5. Press the ALARM button again to set the alarm volume. The display will show '10' (default volume, max 16). Use the DIAL to adjust the volume level. The audible beep will change in pitch or volume according to the setting.
  6. Press the ALARM button to save the alarm settings and exit.

Using the Alarm

Snooze Function

When the alarm is sounding, press the SNOOZE/DIMMER rotary DIAL. The alarm will pause and sound again in approximately 9 minutes. This snooze function can be activated each time the dial is pressed while the alarm is sounding.

Dimmer Function

Press the SNOOZE/DIMMER rotary DIAL to cycle through five levels of display brightness: 100%, 50%, 25%, 10%, and 5%. The 100% brightness is the default setting.

Bluetooth Function

  1. Press the BLUETOOTH button to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. The PAIRING indicator will flash blue rapidly.
  2. On your Bluetooth device (e.g., smartphone), navigate to Bluetooth settings and select "SHARP" to pair.
  3. Upon successful pairing and connection, the PAIRING indicator will show a solid blue light, and a chime will sound from the unit.
  4. The unit will remain paired unless manually unpaired or the Bluetooth device is reset.
  5. Use the controls on your connected Bluetooth device to select and play tracks.
  6. Audio from the connected Bluetooth device will be played through the clock's speakers.
  7. Adjust the volume by rotating the DIAL on the top of the unit.
  8. To exit Bluetooth mode, press and hold the BLUETOOTH button for 2 seconds.

Playing Sleep Sounds

Volume Control

While playing sleep sounds or using Bluetooth, rotate the DIAL to increase or decrease the volume. The display will show the current volume level, ranging from 0 to 16.

Sleep Timer Function

When playing sleep sounds or using Bluetooth:

  1. Press and hold the DIAL, then rotate it to set the sleep timer for 90, 60, or 30 minutes.
  2. Release the dial when the desired sleep time is displayed, then press the dial again to confirm.
  3. The sleep sound or Bluetooth audio will automatically turn off after the set time.
  4. To check the remaining sleep time, press the DIAL; the display will show the countdown.

Note: The dimmer function is disabled when the sleep timer is active.

  12. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer. Exercise caution when moving cart/apparatus combinations to prevent tip-overs.
  13. Unplug the apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for extended periods.
  14. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel. Servicing is required for damage, power cord issues, liquid spills, dropped objects, exposure to rain/moisture, abnormal operation, or drops.
  15. Keep the unit in a well-ventilated environment.
  16. Servicing instructions are for qualified personnel only. Do not perform servicing beyond operating instructions unless qualified.
  17. The mains plug is the disconnect device and must remain readily operable.
  18. This is a Class II or double-insulated appliance requiring no safety connection to electrical earth.
  19. Do not install in confined spaces (e.g., bookcases) that impede ventilation. Do not cover ventilation openings with items like newspapers or tablecloths.
  20. All external markings are on the enclosure, except for the Date Code inside the battery compartment.
  21. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no liquid-filled objects (like vases) should be placed on it.
  22. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the compliance party could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
  23. Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine or fire.
