Product Diagram and Parts Identification
The SHARP SPC268 Sunrise Alarm Clock features a digital display and various control buttons. The clock has a modern design with a rectangular main body.
Front View Components:
- Display Area: Shows time, PM indicator, and alarm/sunrise indicators.
- 1. PM indicator: Indicates PM time.
- 2. Alarm 1 indicator: Shows when Alarm 1 is active.
- 3. USB charging port: For charging external USB devices.
- 4. Alarm 2 indicator: Shows when Alarm 2 is active.
- 5. Sunrise indicator: Shows when the Sunrise function is active.
- 6. SUNRISE button: Activates/deactivates the sunrise light function.
- 7. ALARM 1 button: Sets or activates/deactivates Alarm 1.
- 8. ALARM 2 button: Sets or activates/deactivates Alarm 2.
Side/Rear View Components:
- 9. DC 5V jack: For connecting the AC power adapter.
- 10. HOUR button: Used for setting the hour.
- 11. MIN button: Used for setting the minute.
- 12. COLOR button: Controls the color-changing light feature.
- 13. TIME button: Initiates time setting mode.
- 14. Battery compartment: Located at the back for backup batteries (2 x AAA/LR03).
- 15. SNOOZE button: Activates snooze function when alarm sounds.
Connecting to the Power Supply
Begin by plugging the supplied AC adapter into a standard household outlet. Connect the other end of the cord to the DC 5V jack located at the back of the unit.
Installing the Clock & Alarm Backup Batteries
The clock time and alarm settings can be maintained during a power failure by installing 2 x AAA/LR03 batteries (not supplied). Once power is restored, check the time for accuracy and re-set if necessary.
Note: When battery backup is in use, the display will NOT be lit. However, the clock will continue to function, and the alarm will sound at its set time.
Inserting the Batteries:
- Open the battery compartment at the back of the unit by pressing the catch and removing the cover.
- Insert 2 x AAA/LR03 batteries (preferably alkaline) into the compartment, following the polarity indicated inside.
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
USB Charging
To charge your USB device, connect it to the USB port on this clock.
Notes:
- Use only with devices that require 5V USB power.
- The USB port provides a 2,000mA recharging current. Devices requiring more than 2,000mA should not be used.
- Charging time may vary for different devices.
Setting the Clock
- Press and hold the TIME button to activate time setting mode.
- While holding the TIME button, press the HOUR button to advance to the correct hour. The PM indicator will light when the hour is advanced into PM time.
- While holding the TIME button, press the MIN button to advance to the correct minute.
- Release the TIME button when the correct time is shown on the display.
Setting the Alarm
- Press and hold the ALARM 1 / 2 button to activate alarm setting mode.
- While holding the ALARM 1 / 2 button, press the HOUR button to advance to the correct hour. The PM indicator will light when the hour is advanced into PM time.
- While holding the ALARM 1 / 2 button, press the MIN button to advance to the correct minute.
- Release the ALARM 1 / 2 button when the correct alarm time is shown on the display.
Using the Alarm Function
- Press the ALARM 1 / 2 button to activate the alarm; the alarm indicator will be lit.
- Press the ALARM 1 / 2 button again to deactivate the alarm; the alarm indicator will no longer be visible.
Snooze Function
Pressing the SNOOZE button after the alarm sounds will stop the alarm temporarily. The alarm will sound again in 9 minutes. This function can be repeated each time the SNOOZE button is pressed.
Color Changing Light Function
- Press the COLOR button to activate the color-changing light.
- Press the COLOR button again to freeze the current color.
- Press and hold the COLOR button to deactivate the color-changing light.
Sunrise Light Function
This alarm clock features a sunrise light function that gradually brightens 30 minutes before the alarm sounds.
- Press the SUNRISE button to activate this function once ALARM 1 is set.
- To cancel it, press the SUNRISE button again.
Note: The SUNRISE function is enabled only for ALARM 1; it is NOT available for ALARM 2.
Care of Your Clock
- Replace the backup battery annually, or store the clock without a battery when not in use.
- Clean your clock with a soft cloth or a paper towel.
- Do not use corrosive cleansers or chemical solutions.
- Keep your clock dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. Keep it away from dust and dirt.
- Handle your clock carefully; do not drop it.
- Do not subject the clock to excessive force, shock, dust, temperature, or humidity, as these conditions may shorten its life.
- Do not tamper with any internal components, as this will invalidate the warranty and may cause damage.

One Year Limited Warranty
M.Z. Berger & Company warrants the original consumer purchaser of this product that it shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the purchase date. This warranty does not cover defects caused by tampering, improper use, unauthorized modifications or repairs, immersion in water, or abuse.

You must include a Proof of Purchase (original receipt or photocopy), and a check or money order for USD $6.00 to cover handling costs. Also, include your return address inside the package. M.Z. Berger will repair or replace the clock and return it to you.
M.Z. Berger will not be liable for any loss or damage, including incidental or consequential damages, arising from any breach of warranty. Some states may not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.
