Accessories

Principle of Operation

The camera module complements the Gira System 106 door station system by adding the "Video" function.

Scope of Delivery

Check the contents of the packaging for completeness and integrity. For claims, refer to the "Warranty" section.

Equipment Description

Camera Heating System

The camera is equipped with two internal heaters. The second heater is required in case the weather changes abruptly due to local conditions and the front glass fogs up. The use of the second heater requires an additional power supply (ZV). The first heater automatically switches on at temperatures below 6 °C and switches off again at temperatures above +12 °C.

Night Mode

Automatic switch to night mode: During an active conversation, the camera automatically switches to night mode when the brightness level is below 1 lux. Night mode = black and white image and active High Light Compensation (HLC) function. Infrared illumination is active only if this function has been pre-configured on the indoor station.

Noise Reduction Mode (NR)

The NR mode eliminates image interference from the camera in twilight conditions.

Infrared Illumination

IR illumination allows for glare-free images of the field of view in night mode. When using ZV, the range of the IR illumination increases by 3 m.

High Light Compensation (HLC) Function

The HLC function is used to invert bright areas in night mode. Very bright areas are inverted into black (e.g., light from car headlights).

Wide Dynamic Range (WD) Function

The WD function automatically adjusts the brightness of the camera image so that all areas are clearly visible. This ensures that people in dark areas of the camera image become visible.

Mounting the Module

Refer to the installation instructions for the Gira System 106 surface-mounted housing (1-5-gang) for the following installation steps:

Terminating Resistor

Starting with the 2-gang surface-mounted housing, two terminating resistors are always included. The terminating resistors are always connected to the first and last modules on the system cable (see the instruction manual supplied with the 1-5-gang surface-mounted housing).

Connecting the Video Cable

Insert the video cable into the camera module socket and into the socket of the video door station module or door station module.

Commissioning the Camera Module

When assigning the call button (see the instruction manual for the door station module or call button module), the camera module registration is performed automatically. All components (System 106 modules, indoor stations, power supplies, etc.) must be installed beforehand for successful commissioning.

Module Configuration

Image Area Adjustment

Using the rotary switch on the back, specific areas (highlighted in white) of the full image (shaded gray) can be magnified. The visible field of view corresponds to the image transmitted to the indoor station, not the position of the camera lens. Position "0" = delivery state.

Mounting Location Selection

When selecting the mounting location, consider the following:
