Module Installation
The following work steps can be found in the installation instructions for the 1- to 5-gang System 106 surface-mounted housing:
- Lock the module onto the function carrier.
- Connect the connecting cable.
- Insert terminating resistors.
Terminating Resistor
From 2-gang housings onwards, two terminating resistors are always included. Terminating resistors must always be inserted on the first and last module on the system cable.
Terminal Block Installation Position
Pay attention to the correct installation position (orientation) of the terminal block (see installation instructions for the 1- to 5-gang System 106 housing).
Prohibition of Bridging between BUS and Additional Power Supply (ZV)
Bridging contacts between the BUS and the additional power supply (ZV) is not permitted on the module. The module automatically detects whether an additional power supply (ZV) is connected.
Module Startup
The voice module can only be started in conjunction with a keypad call module via the control unit (see installation and operating instructions for the control unit). For successful startup, all other system devices (System 106 modules, interior units, control unit, etc.) must be installed first.
Module Configuration
Volume Control
Volume control is performed on the keypad call module (see operating instructions for the keypad call module).
Activating or Deactivating Key Press Tone Confirmation
The audible confirmation tone for key presses can be activated or deactivated on the keypad call module (see operating instructions for the keypad call module). In active programming mode, all confirmation tones remain active.
