- Audio control unit (Art. No. 1287 00).
- System 106 Keypad Module 1-4 (Art. No. 5531 9.., 5532 9.., 5533 9.., 5534 9..).
- Gira indoor intercom.
- Surface-mounting box for 1 to 5 System 106 elements (Art. No. 5501..., 5502..., 5503..., 5504..., 5505...).
Accessories
- System 106 Keypad Module 1 to 4 (for expansion from a 4-gang keypad module).
- Power supply for intercom DC 24 V 300 mA (Art. No. 1296 00) for additional power supply (ZV).
Functional Description
The Voice Module is the central module of the Gira System 106 intercom system. The module serves both for voice function and for powering all modules connected to the Voice Module. Furthermore, the Voice Module switches the backlighting of connected Keypad Modules on or off depending on the ambient brightness.

Check the contents of the package for completeness. In case of a claim, refer to the "Warranty".
Module Installation
The following work steps can be found in the installation instructions for the surface-mounting box for 1 to 5 System 106 elements:
- Locking the module onto the functional element.
- Connecting the cable.
- Connecting terminating resistors.
Terminating Resistors
With surface-mounting boxes from 2 elements, two terminating resistors are always supplied. The terminating resistors are always connected to the first and last module in the system cable.
Plug-in Terminal Position
Pay attention to the correct (offset) mounting position of the plug-in terminal.
Module Configuration
Volume Control
Volume control is set on the Keypad Module (see user manual for the Keypad Module).
Activating or Deactivating Acoustic Confirmation of Key Press
Activation or deactivation of the acoustic confirmation of key press is set on the Keypad Module (see user manual for the Keypad Module). In the activated programming mode, all confirmation tones will be emitted.

Changing the Module Front
- Open the housing and remove the functional elements.
- Unlock the Voice Module and separate it from the functional element.
- Loosen the fastening screws and remove the module front including seals.
- Place the new module front with the new seals and reassemble in reverse order.

Warranty
The warranty is provided within the scope of legal regulations through specialized trade. Deliver or send defective devices postage-paid, with a description of the problem, to your relevant dealer (specialized establishment, installation company, electrical establishment). They will arrange for the devices to be sent to the Gira Service Center.
