Prior to Installation
Read the manual prior to installation. Technical knowledge is necessary for installation. The place of installation must be free of moisture and away from heat sources. Please ensure that the correct tools are used during the installation to avoid damage to the vehicle or product. Connects2 cannot be held responsible for the installation of this product.
Installation Guide
Dash Disassembly
Step 1
Begin by using a panel removal tool to remove the fascia trim panel.
Step 2
Disengage the CD slot plastic housing by bending in the clips on either side with a panel removal tool.
Step 3
With the trim panel and the CD slot panel removed, proceed to undo the 4x Torx screws highlighted. Once undone, pull the whole panel forward and disconnect all of the wiring.
Step 4
Once the main dashboard panel has been removed, proceed to undo the 2x recessed Torx screws either side of the main head unit, and the 2x screws down by the centre console.
Step 5
Before trying to pull out the inner trim, on the back of the inner dashboard frame are 2x screws. Remove these and then gently pry the inner frame away from the dash.
Step 6
With the inner trim removed, proceed to pull the main head unit out and disconnect all of the wiring.
Step 7
Remove the 4x screws that surround the top screen and remove completely whilst disconnecting all of the wiring.
Kit Assembly
Step 8
Use the brackets that come with the kit and affix them to the relevant side of the new stereo. When attached, test fit within the dashboard to gauge the depth and alter accordingly.
Dashboard Modification
Step 9
The highlighted section of dashboard frame will need to be cut in order to allow for a new double DIN unit to sit in place correctly.
When performing any modification to the vehicle, always ensure to measure where the stereo will sit and take due care when performing cuts to the vehicle. Dash Assembly
Step 10
With the brackets affixed to the correct sides of the stereo and the dashboard modified, connect up the stereo and slot into place, screwing into place using the pre-existing screws.
Step 11
Once the stereo is secured, take the new fascia and place over the top, reconnecting the hazard switch in the process.
