Installation Guide
Refer to the wiring diagram for detailed connections.
- Remove and disconnect the factory stereo. Consult the vehicle owner's manual or a professional if needed.
- Connect the 12-pin connector from the stereo connection (patch) lead to the interface box.
- Connect the other end of the stereo connection (patch) lead to the steering wheel control input on the back of the aftermarket stereo. This may be a 3.5mm jack or a wired input; consult the aftermarket stereo manual. Important: This step must be completed before connecting power to the interface.
- Connect the 14-pin connector from the supplied wiring loom and 2-pin speaker wire to the interface box.
- Connect the power/speaker ISO connector to the corresponding connector on the aftermarket stereo. If the aftermarket stereo lacks an ISO connector, refer to the 'Wiring Key' for manual connections.
- Connect any additional 'flying' wires (e.g., for parking brake, reverse gear, speed pulse) to the aftermarket head unit's wiring harness as required.
- Connect the 3.5mm jack connectors to the aftermarket head unit to retain the vehicle's OEM Aux input and Microphone.
- Connect the Amplifier connector to the vehicle's OEM Amplifier (typically located under the driver's seat).
- Connect the CAN Data connector to the vehicle's OEM connector.
- Connect the vehicle-specific power connector on the supplied harness to the vehicle's OEM connector.
- Test the stereo and steering wheel control functionality before reassembling the dashboard. If controls are unresponsive, uninstall and reinstall the interface following the steps carefully.
