Philips TAT6000 True Wireless ANC Headphones

Welcome to your new Philips True Wireless ANC headphones. This manual provides comprehensive instructions for setup, usage, and maintenance.

Important Safety Instructions

Auditory Safety

To prevent hearing damage, limit the time you use the headphones at a high volume and set the volume to a safe level. The higher the volume, the less time you can safely listen.

  • Listen at a reasonable volume for a reasonable duration.
  • Avoid continuously increasing the volume as your hearing adapts.
  • Do not set the volume so high that you cannot hear surrounding sounds.
  • Use caution or temporarily stop using the headphones in potentially dangerous situations.
  • Excessive sound pressure from headphones can cause hearing loss.
  • Using headphones that block both ears while driving is not recommended and may be prohibited in some regions.
  • For your safety, avoid distractions from music or phone calls while driving or in other potentially dangerous environments.

General Information

To prevent damage or malfunction:

  • Do not expose the headphones to excessive heat.
  • Do not drop your headphones.
  • The headphones should not be exposed to dripping or splashing water.
  • Do not submerge your headphones in water.
  • Do not charge your headphones if the connector or port is wet.
  • Do not use cleaning products containing alcohol, ammonia, benzene, or abrasives.
  • Use a clean, damp cloth to regularly clean your headphones, especially the acoustic pipes and microphone holes, to prevent the accumulation of substances like sweat or earwax.
  • If sweat or water droplets get into the acoustic pipes, ventilation holes, or microphone holes, the sound may temporarily decrease or stop. This is not a malfunction. Dry the headphones completely with a soft, damp cloth. You can also remove the ear tips, turn the acoustic pipes downwards, and gently tap the headphones against a dry cloth about five times to remove accumulated water.
  • Ensure the headphones are completely dry before charging and using them. Avoid using disposable alcohol pads or other cleaning substances.
  • The built-in battery should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunlight, fire, or similar sources.
  • Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced incorrectly. Replace only with the same type or equivalent.
  • Ensure the charging port cover is closed to achieve the specified IP rating.
  • A battery exposed to fire or a hot oven, or subjected to mechanical crushing or cutting, may result in an explosion.
  • A battery left in an extremely high-temperature environment may cause an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
  • A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure may cause an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
  • Replacing a battery with an incorrect type may compromise the headphones and battery (e.g., with certain types of lithium batteries).
  • If the headphones are not used for a long period, the rechargeable battery will start to lose its charge. To prevent this, charge the battery fully at least once every three months.
  • To avoid fire risk, the equipment is powered only by an external power source with a PS1 output (output capacity less than or equal to 15 W).

Operating and Storage Temperature and Humidity

  • Store in a location where the temperature is between -20°C and 50°C with a relative humidity of up to 90%.
  • Use in a location where the temperature is between 0°C and 45°C with a relative humidity of up to 90%.
  • Battery life may be reduced in high or low temperature conditions.

A mobile phone or device (e.g., laptop, tablet, Bluetooth adapters, MP3 players, etc.) that supports Bluetooth and is compatible with the earbuds.

Overview of Your True Wireless ANC Headphones

The headphones and charging case are comprised of the following parts:

  • 1. Multifunction Touch (MFT): Controls playback, calls, and ANC.
  • 2. Insulation Film: Protective film on earbuds that must be removed before first use.
  • 3. Touchscreen: Display on the charging case.
  • 4. USB-C Charging Port: For charging the case and earbuds.
  • 5. Pairing Button: Used for Bluetooth pairing, reset, and screen on/off.

Getting Started

Recharge the battery

Note: Before first use, place the headphones in the charging case and charge for 2 hours for optimal battery life and performance. Use only the original USB Type-C charging cable.

If the headphones are not used for a long time, the rechargeable battery will lose charge. To prevent this, charge the battery fully at least once every three months.

Charging Case

Connect one end of the USB-C cable to the charging case and the other end to the power source.

Tip: The charging case acts as a portable power bank for the earbuds. When fully charged, it can recharge the earbuds up to 3 times.

Earbuds

Remove the insulation films from the earbuds and place them back into the charging case. Close the charging case lid; the case will begin charging the earbuds.

Tip: A full charge typically takes 2 hours via USB cable for both the earbuds and the charging case.

How to wear them

Select the appropriate ear tips for an optimal fit. A snug fit provides the best sound quality and noise reduction.

  1. Test which ear tip offers the best sound and wearing comfort.
  2. Three sizes of ear tips are provided: Large (L), Medium (M), and Small (S).

Inserting the earbuds

  1. Check the left or right orientation of the earbuds.
  2. Insert the earbuds into your ears and gently twist them for a secure fit.

Downloading the App

Scan the QR code or tap the 'Download' button, or search for 'Philips Headphones' on the Apple App Store or Google Play to download the application.

The Philips Headphones app manages the music you listen to. You can personalize the sound to best suit your music and call experience.

Pairing the earbuds with your Bluetooth device for the first time

  1. Ensure the earbuds are fully charged and powered off.
  2. Open the charging case lid; the earbuds will enter pairing mode and be ready to connect. The LED lights on both earbuds will flash blue and white alternately. The earbuds are now in pairing mode and ready to be paired with a Bluetooth device (e.g., a mobile phone).
  3. Activate the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth device.
  4. Pair the earbuds with your Bluetooth device by referring to your device's user manual.

Remark: If the earbuds do not find a previously connected Bluetooth device after powering on, place them in pairing mode (press the case button for 3 seconds with both earbuds inside and the lid open). The headphones will automatically turn off after 3 minutes of Bluetooth inactivity. Actual duration may vary based on usage conditions.

Pairing with another Bluetooth device

To pair another Bluetooth device with the earbuds, simply put them into pairing mode (press the case button for 3 seconds with both earbuds inside and the lid open), then discover the second device following the normal pairing procedure.

Remark: The earbuds store up to 4 devices. If you try to pair more than 4 devices, the first paired device will be replaced by the new one.

Single Earbud (Mono Mode)

Remove either the right or left earbud from the charging case for Mono use. The earbud will turn on automatically.

Remark: Remove the second earbud from the charging case, and they will pair automatically.

Multipoint Connection

Pairing

Pair the headphones with 2 devices, e.g., a mobile phone and a laptop.

Switching between devices

  • You can only listen to music from one device at a time. The other device will be used for phone calls.
  • Interrupt audio on the first device, then start audio playback on the other device.

Remark: When streaming audio from device 1, receiving a call from device 2 will automatically interrupt playback on device 1. The call will be automatically routed to the headphones. Ending the call will automatically resume playback on device 1.

Using Your Earbuds

Connecting the earbuds to your Bluetooth device

  1. Activate the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth device.
  2. Open the charging case lid. The white LED light on the earbud will flash. The earbuds will search for the last connected Bluetooth device and reconnect automatically. If the last connected device is not available, the earbuds will search for and reconnect to the second connected device.

Tip: If you activate your Bluetooth device's Bluetooth function after turning on the earbuds, you need to access your device's Bluetooth menu and manually connect the earbuds.
  • Remark: On some Bluetooth devices, the connection may not be automatic. In such cases, access your device's Bluetooth menu and manually connect the earbuds to the Bluetooth device.
