1 Important Safety Instructions

Hearing Safety

Danger: Limit the duration of use at high volume and set the volume to a safe level to prevent hearing damage. The higher the volume, the shorter the listening time should be.

When using headphones, follow these guidelines:

  • Listen at a reasonable volume for a reasonable duration.
  • Be cautious and do not continuously increase the volume, as your hearing adapts.
  • Do not set the volume so high that you cannot hear what is happening around you.
  • In potentially dangerous situations, be cautious or stop using the headphones temporarily.
  • Excessive acoustic pressure from headphones can cause hearing loss.
  • It is not recommended to use headphones that cover both ears while driving. This may be illegal in some regions.
  • In traffic or other potentially dangerous environments, prevent music or phone calls from distracting you for your own safety.

General Information

To prevent damage or malfunction:

  • Do not expose the headphones to excessive heat.
  • Do not drop the headphones.
  • The headphones must not be exposed to dripping or splashing water. (Refer to the IP rating of the specific product.)
  • Do not immerse the headphones in water.
  • Do not charge the headphones if the connector or socket is wet.
  • Do not use any cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia, gasoline, or abrasive substances.
  • Clean the headphones regularly with a clean, damp cloth, paying special attention to the sound tubes and microphone openings to prevent the buildup of substances like sweat or earwax.
  • If sweat or water droplets remain in the sound tubes, ventilation openings, or microphone openings, it may reduce sound volume or completely mute it. This is not a defect. Use a soft damp cloth to dry the headphones carefully. You can also remove the ear tips, turn the sound tubes downwards, and gently tap the headphones about five times on a dry cloth or similar to remove any accumulated water.
  • Before charging and using the headphones, ensure they are completely dry. Avoid using disposable cotton swabs soaked in alcohol or other substances for cleaning.
  • The integrated battery should not be exposed to excessive heat, such as sunlight or fire.
  • There is a risk of explosion if the battery is replaced incorrectly. Replace the battery only with the same or an equivalent type.
  • To achieve the stated IP rating, the charging slot cover must be closed.
  • Disposing of a battery in fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting a battery, may result in an explosion.
  • Leaving a battery in an extremely high-temperature environment may result in an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
  • Exposure of a battery to extremely low air pressure may result in an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
  • Replacing the battery with an incorrect type may result in severe damage to the headphones and battery (e.g., in the case of certain types of lithium batteries).

If the headphones are not used for a long time, the rechargeable battery will start to lose its charge. To prevent this loss, fully charge the battery at least once every three months.

To prevent fire hazards, the device is powered only by an external power source that complies with PS1 (with an output capacity of 15W or less).

Operating and Storage Temperature and Humidity

  • Store the product in a place with a temperature between -20 °C and 50 °C with relative humidity up to 90%.
  • Operate the product in a place with a temperature between 0 °C and 45 °C with relative humidity up to 90%.
  • In conditions with higher or lower temperatures, the battery life may be shorter.

3 Getting Started

Charging the Battery

Headphones: Remove the insulation film from the earbuds and place them back into the charging case. Close the charging case lid, and the charging case will start charging the headphones.

Charging Case: Connect one end of the USB-C cable to the charging case and the other end to a power source.

Tip: Under normal conditions, a full charge via USB cable takes 2 hours (for headphones or charging case).

Note: Before using the headphones, place them in the charging case and charge the battery for 2 hours to achieve optimal capacity and lifespan. Use only the original USB-C charging cable to prevent any damage. If the headphones are not used for a long time, the rechargeable battery will start to lose its charge. To prevent this loss, fully charge the battery at least once every three months.

Tip: The charging case serves as a portable backup battery for charging the headphones. When the charging case is fully charged, it can charge the headphones fully 3 times.

Wearing the Headphones

Choosing the Right Ear Tips for a Secure Fit

For a secure and snug fit, the ear tips ensure the best sound quality and noise cancellation.

  1. Try which ear tips provide you with the best sound and fit.
  2. 3 sizes of ear tips are supplied: large, medium, and small.

Inserting the Headphones into Your Ears

  1. Check if the earbud is left or right.
  2. Insert the earbuds into your ears and rotate them slightly until they fit securely.

Downloading the App

Download the app by scanning the QR code, pressing the "Download" button, or searching for "Philips Headphones" in the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Stay Connected

The Philips Headphones app allows you to set up your music listening preferences. You can customize the sound so that music and calls always suit your needs best.

First Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the headphones are fully charged and turned off.
  2. Open the charging case lid. The headphones will enter pairing mode and be ready to connect.
  3. The LED indicators on both earbuds will flash alternating white and blue.
  4. The headphones are now in pairing mode and ready to be paired with a Bluetooth device (e.g., a mobile phone).
  5. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your device.
  6. Pair the headphones with your Bluetooth device, referring to your Bluetooth device's user manual.

Note: If the headphones cannot find any previously connected Bluetooth device upon power-on, switch them to pairing mode (place the headphones in the case, leave the lid open, and press the button on the case for 3 seconds). The headphones will automatically turn off after 3 minutes of inactivity. The actual duration may vary depending on usage conditions.

The following example shows how to pair the headphones with a Bluetooth device:

  1. On your Bluetooth device, turn on the Bluetooth function and select "Philips TAT6000".
  2. If prompted, enter the headphone password "0000" (4 zeros). Devices with Bluetooth 3.0 or higher technology do not require a password.

Note: For Android devices, the user must accept automatically opened messages to synchronize the time between the smartphone and the charging case's touch screen. To synchronize the time with the charging case screen, on Android devices, tap "OK" or "Allow".

Single Earbud (Mono Mode)

To use mono mode, remove either the right or left earbud from the charging case. The earbud will turn on automatically.

Note: Once the second earbud is removed from the charging case, both earbuds will automatically pair with each other.

Pairing Headphones with Another Bluetooth Device

To pair the headphones with another Bluetooth device, simply put them into pairing mode (place both headphones in the case, open the lid, and press and hold the button on the case for 3 seconds). Then, search for the second device as you would during normal pairing.

Note: The headphones store up to 4 devices. If you try to pair more than 4 devices, the oldest paired device will be replaced by the new one.

Multipoint Connection

Pairing

Pair the headphones with 2 devices, for example, a mobile phone and a laptop.

Switching Between Devices

Note: When streaming audio from the first device and receiving a call on the second device, playback on the first device will automatically pause. The call will automatically be directed to the headphones. When the call ends, playback from the first device will automatically resume.

4 Using the Earbuds

Connecting the Earbuds to a Bluetooth Device

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth device.
  2. Open the charging case lid.
  3. The white LED indicator on the earbud will flash.
  4. The headphones will search for the last connected Bluetooth device and automatically reconnect. If the last connected device is not available, the headphones will search for the second-to-last connected device and connect to it.

Tip: If you turn on the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth device only after turning on the headphones, you will need to go to your device's Bluetooth menu and connect the headphones manually.

Note: For some Bluetooth devices, the connection may not happen automatically. In such cases, you need to go to your device's Bluetooth menu and connect the headphones to the Bluetooth device manually.
