Philips TAT6000 True Wireless ANC Headphones

Important Safety Information

Listening Safety

Danger

To avoid hearing damage, limit the time you use the headphones at high volume and set the volume to a safe level. The higher the volume, the shorter the safe listening time.

Ensure you follow these guidelines when using the headphones:

  • Listen at a reasonable volume for reasonable periods.
  • Be mindful not to adjust the volume higher as your hearing adapts.
  • Do not turn up the volume so high that you cannot hear what is happening around you.
  • Exercise caution or temporarily discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations.
  • Excessive sound pressure from earbuds and headphones can cause hearing damage.
  • It is not recommended to use earbuds in both ears while driving, and it may be illegal in some areas.
  • For your safety, avoid music or phone calls distracting you while participating in traffic or in other potentially hazardous environments.

General Information

To avoid damage or malfunction:

  • Do not expose the headphones to excessive heat.
  • Do not drop the headphones.
  • The headphones must not be exposed to dripping or splashing. (Check the IP rating for specific product details)
  • Do not allow the headphones to be submerged in water.
  • Do not charge the headphones when the connector or plug is wet.
  • Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia, benzene, or abrasives.
  • Use a clean, damp cloth to clean the headphones – especially the sound outlets and microphone openings – regularly, and avoid accumulation of substances like sweat or earwax.
  • If sweat or water drops remain in the sound outlets, air vents, or microphone openings, the sound level will temporarily decrease or stop completely. This is not a malfunction. Use a soft, damp cloth to dry the earbuds thoroughly. Alternatively, remove the ear tips, turn the sound outlets downwards, and gently press the earbuds about five times against a dry cloth or similar to remove any accumulated water.
  • Ensure the earbuds are completely dry before charging and using them. Avoid using alcohol swabs or other cleaning agents.
  • The integrated battery must not be exposed to excessive heat, such as sun, fire, or similar.
  • There is a risk of explosion if the battery is replaced incorrectly. Replace only with the same or an equivalent type.
  • To achieve a certain IP rating, the charging cover must be closed.
  • Disposing of a battery in a fire or hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting a battery may result in an explosion.
  • Leaving the battery in an environment with extremely high temperatures may result in an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
  • Exposure of the battery to extremely low air pressure may result in an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
  • Replacing the battery with an incorrect type poses a risk of serious damage to the headphones and battery (e.g., in the case of some types of lithium batteries).
  • If the headphones are not used for a long time, the rechargeable battery will start to lose its charge. To prevent this, fully charge the battery at least once every three months.
  • To avoid the risk of fire, the equipment should only be powered from an external power source whose output complies with PS1 (with an output power less than or equal to 15W).

Operating and Storage Temperatures and Humidity

  • Store in places where the temperature is between -20°C and 50°C with up to 90% relative humidity.
  • Use in places where the temperature is between 0°C and 45°C with up to 90% relative humidity.
  • Battery life may be shorter in conditions with high or low temperatures.

Tip

The charging case serves as a portable power bank for charging the earbuds. When the charging case is fully charged, it can fully charge the earbuds up to 3 times.

Remove the isolation film from the earbuds and reinsert the earbuds into the charging case.

Close the charging case lid; the charging case starts charging the earbuds.

Tip

A full charge typically takes 2 hours (for earbuds or charging case) with a USB cable.

Pairing Your Earbuds with Your Bluetooth Device

For the first time

  1. Ensure the earbuds are fully charged and turned off.
  2. Open the charging case lid; the earbuds will enter pairing mode and be ready to connect. The LED indicators on both earbuds flash white and blue alternately. The earbuds are now in pairing mode and ready to be paired with a Bluetooth device (e.g., mobile phone).
  3. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth device.
  4. Pair the earbuds with your Bluetooth device; refer to your Bluetooth device's user manual.

Note

  • After charging, if the earbuds cannot find a previously connected Bluetooth device, put them in pairing mode (press the button on the case for 3 seconds with both earbuds inside and the lid open).
  • Earbuds will automatically turn off after 3 minutes of Bluetooth inactivity. Actual time may vary depending on usage conditions.

Example Pairing

The following example shows how to pair the earbuds with your Bluetooth device.

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth device, select 'Philips TAT6000'.
  2. Enter the earbud password '0000' (4 zeros) if prompted. For devices supporting Bluetooth 3.0 or later, a password is not required.

Note

The user must accept the prompt on Android devices to synchronize the time between the smartphone and the charging case's touchscreen.

Tap 'OK' or 'Allow' on the prompt that appears on Android devices to synchronize the time with the charging case screen.

Single Earbud Use (Mono Mode)

Remove the right or left earbud from the charging case for Mono use. The earbud will turn on automatically.

Note

Remove the second earbud from the charging case, and they will automatically pair with each other.

Pairing Your Earbuds with Another Bluetooth Device

If you want to pair with another Bluetooth device, put the earbuds into pairing mode (press the button on the case for 3 seconds with both earbuds inside and the lid open), then discover the second device as usual.

Note

Earbuds store 4 devices in memory. If you try to pair more than 4 devices, the earliest paired device will be replaced by the latest.

Connecting to Multiple Devices

Pairing

Pair the earbuds with 2 devices, e.g., a mobile phone and a tablet.

Switching devices

At any time, you can listen to music from only 1 device. The other device will be for phone calls. Pause audio from 1 device, then play audio from the other device.

Note

When audio is playing from Device 1, receiving a call from Device 2 will automatically pause playback on Device 1. The call will automatically be directed to the earbuds. When the call ends, music playback from Device 1 will automatically resume.

Using Your Earbuds

Connect your earbuds to a Bluetooth device

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth device.
  2. Open the charging case lid. The white LED light on the earbud flashes. The earbuds will search for the last connected Bluetooth device and reconnect automatically. If the last connected device is not available, the earbuds will search for and reconnect to the second-to-last connected device.

Tip

If you turn on the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth device after turning on the earbuds, you must go to the device's Bluetooth menu and connect the earbuds to the device manually.

Note

For some Bluetooth devices, connection may not be automatic. In that case, you must go to your device's Bluetooth menu and connect the earbuds to the Bluetooth device manually.
