Everyday life at home puts high demands on seating furniture. IKEA furniture is rigorously tested to comply with strict standards for quality and durability, meeting the highest standards for residential use. This commitment allows IKEA to offer a 10-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for frames and cushions of sofas, armchairs, sleeper sofas, and ottomans. For select products, a 25-year limited warranty is provided. All limited warranties are subject to the terms and conditions stated herein.
The limited warranty is valid from the date of purchase. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase.

What Will IKEA Do to Correct the Problem?
IKEA will examine the product and, at its sole discretion, determine if it is covered under this limited warranty. If covered, IKEA, through its own service operations, will at its discretion either repair the defective product or replace it with the same or a comparable product. IKEA will pay the costs of repairs, spare parts, labor, and travel for repair staff incurred by IKEA, provided the product is accessible for repair without special expenditure. This does not apply to repair work not authorized by IKEA. Replaced parts become the property of IKEA. If the item is no longer sold by IKEA, IKEA will provide an appropriate replacement, as determined by IKEA at its sole discretion.
Our Seating Furniture is Put to the Test
At IKEA, all sofas, armchairs, sleeper sofas, and ottomans are tested for durability. For example, a 220-lb weight is applied to the seat 50,000 times, and a 66-lb weight to the back the same number of times. These tests ensure that frames retain their stability and cushions retain their resilience and comfort. The limited warranties provided are proof that IKEA seating furniture can withstand frequent and long-term use, offering assurance to the customer.
