3. How to Wear
3.1 Left or Right Wearing Style
The Jabra Evolve 65 TE can be worn on the left or right by flipping the microphone to the other side. The microphone can rotate up to a 270° limit. To prevent damaging or breaking the microphone, do not rotate it more than 270°.
3.2 Adjust the Headband
Adjust the headband to find the most comfortable fit.
3.3 Position the Microphone
It is recommended to position the microphone close to your mouth (approximately 0.5 inches). The microphone is bendable for personal preference.
SECURITY NOTE: Microphones can potentially be used to record private conversations.
4. How to Charge the Battery
The headset battery charges when connected to a PC using a USB cable or any USB charger supplied with your mobile device. The headset can be used for calls while charging via USB cable connected to a PC. Charging takes approximately 2 hours.
4.1 Sleep Mode
When the headset is powered on but not in use, it automatically enters sleep mode after 15 minutes to conserve battery. To manually exit sleep mode, press any button on the headset. After 24 hours in sleep mode, the headset powers down completely. To power it back on, slide the On/off/connect switch from Off to On. Sleep mode is enabled by default and can be disabled using Jabra Direct.
5. How to Connect
5.1 Connect to PC (using Jabra Link 390)
- Ensure the headset is switched on.
- Plug the Jabra Link 390 dongle into a USB port on your PC. The headset and Jabra Link 390 are already pre-connected.
Before first use, it is recommended to update the headset to the latest firmware using Jabra Direct or Jabra Sound+.
SECURITY NOTE: There is no encryption for the data exchange between headset and USB devices or ports.
5.2 Connect to Mobile Device (using Bluetooth)
- Wear the headset.
- Hold the On/off/connect switch in the connect position for 3 seconds until you hear voice-guided instructions. The Bluetooth indicator will flash blue.
- Follow the voice-guided instructions to connect.
Before first use, it is recommended to update the headset to the latest firmware using Jabra Direct or Jabra Sound+.
SECURITY NOTE: The headset uses a secure Bluetooth connection with an encryption key size of 128 bits. If your Bluetooth device does not support secure connections, it will not be able to pair or connect to the headset.
5.3 Connect to PC (using USB Cable)
- Ensure the headset is switched on.
- Plug the headset into a USB port on your PC using the supplied USB cable.
Before first use, it is recommended to update the headset to the latest firmware using Jabra Direct or Jabra Sound+.

Busylight Indicator
- Red: Busylight on
- Red: Incoming call
Status LED
- Blue: Connected or Incoming call
- Flashing Blue: Pairing
- Red: Charging battery
- Green: Full charged battery
- Flashing Red: Power on
- Flashing Red: Power off or low battery

7.2 Multiple Call Handling
The headset can accept and handle multiple calls at the same time.

7.3 Busylight
The busylight indicator on the headset can be turned on to let others know that you are busy.
Manually Turn Busylight On/Off
To manually turn the busylight on/off, press both the Volume up and Volume down buttons at the same time.
Enable/Disable Busylight Function
To enable/disable the busylight function, press and hold (3 secs) both the Volume up and Volume down buttons at the same time.
7.4 Using the Travel Pouch
When transporting the headset, use the travel pouch to prevent damage. The earcups can only be rotated in one direction. Do not rotate the earcups in the opposite direction to prevent breaking the headset.

8.1 Jabra Direct
Jabra Direct is computer software designed to support, manage, and enable optimal functionality for Jabra devices.
Download the latest free version from jabra.com/direct
8.2 Update Firmware
Before first use, update the headset to the latest firmware using Jabra Direct. Firmware updates improve performance or add new functionality.
- Connect the Jabra Evolve 65 TE to a computer.
- Use Jabra Direct to check for the latest firmware updates.
8.3 Reset the Headset
Resetting the headset clears paired devices and all settings. Press and hold the Volume up button, then press the Multi-function button to reset. The headset will need to be re-paired to your mobile device. It is important to delete/forget the pairing in the Bluetooth menu on your previously paired device.

9.2 How to Care for Your Headset
- Always store the headset with the power off and safely protected.
- Avoid storage at extreme temperatures (above 50°C/122°F or below -10°C/14°F). This can shorten battery life and adversely affect the headset.
