Troubleshooting
Check the following for potential solutions to common symptoms. These issues may be due to adjustment rather than malfunction. Contact Customer Care if problems persist.
Symptom | Possible Solutions |
---|---|
No power | Check power cord connection and outlet. Unplug and replug after 60 seconds, then restart. |
No picture | Check antenna connection. Try another station. Adjust contrast and brightness settings. |
Good picture but no sound | Increase volume. Check if TV is muted (press MUTE). Check sound settings. Ensure external device volumes are not too low or off. If using AVI/Component/DVI inputs, ensure cables are connected properly. A separate audio cable may be needed for DVI to HDMI. Ensure headphone jack is not connected. |
Good sound but abnormal color or no picture | Check antenna connection and condition. For Component input, check connections for looseness or incorrect wiring. |
No response to remote control | Check/replace remote control batteries. Clean the remote control lens. Ensure the distance is within 8m and the path is clear. |
Colored dots may be present on the screen | This is a structural property of the LED screen (e.g., black dots, bright points of light) and not a malfunction. |
Picture is breaking up | Keep TV away from noisy electrical sources. Electrical interference (lightning) can affect picture. Maintain space between optional equipment and TV. Check antenna and connection, keeping it away from power/input/output cables. |
After Auto Tuning only some channels are available | Check if your area is covered by Digital Video Broadcasts. Try re-tuning or manually tuning channels. Ensure correct antenna type is used. |
Channel cannot be selected | Check if the channel is blocked in the main menu settings. |
USB not playing | Ensure USB cable and power supply are connected. Format the hard drive if necessary (FAT32 format supported). Ensure USB disk is compatible and multimedia data formats are supported. |
Picture is distorted, macroblock, small block, dots, pixelization, etc. | Video compression, especially on fast-moving scenes (sports, action movies), can cause distortion. |
Noise from speaker | Check cable connections; ensure a video cable is not connected to an audio input. Low signal level may cause sound distortion. |
TV turns off automatically | Check if Off Timer or Sleep Timer is enabled in Setup menu. TV may turn off after 10 minutes of no signal. |
TV turns on automatically | Check if On Timer is set to On in the Setup menu. |
Picture is not shown in full screen | HD channels may show black bars on the sides for SD (4:3) content. Movies with different aspect ratios may show black bars on top/bottom. Adjust picture size on the external device or TV. |
