Installation Requirements
Location Requirements
- Observe all governing codes and ordinances.
- Cabinet opening dimensions shown must be used; given dimensions provide minimum clearance.
- Recessed installation area must provide complete enclosure around the recessed portion of the oven.
- Grounded electrical supply is required.
- Electrical supply junction box should be located a maximum of 3" (7.6 cm) below the support surface. A 1" (2.5 cm) minimum diameter hole should be drilled in the right or left rear corner of the support surface for the appliance cable.
- For undercounter installation, the junction box is recommended to be located in the adjacent right or left cabinet. If located on the rear wall behind the oven, it is recommended to be recessed and centered in the upper cabinet.
- The oven support surface must be solid, level, and flush with the bottom of the cabinet cutout.
- The floor must support a double oven weight of 330 lbs (150 kg) for 27" (68.6 cm) models.
- IMPORTANT: To avoid cabinet damage, consult your builder or cabinet supplier to ensure materials will not discolor, delaminate, or sustain other damage. This oven complies with maximum allowable wood cabinet temperatures of 194°F (90°C).

Electrical Requirements
Electrical Connection
To install the oven properly, determine the type of electrical connection and follow the instructions provided.
- The oven must be connected to the proper electrical voltage and frequency as specified on the model/serial/rating plate, located under the control panel.
- WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard
- Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet.
- Do not remove the ground prong.
- Do not use an adapter.
- Do not use an extension cord.
- Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire, or electrical shock.
- If codes permit and a separate ground wire is used, a qualified electrician should verify the ground path and wire gauge comply with local codes.
- If unsure about grounding, consult a qualified electrician.
- This oven must be connected to a grounded metal, permanent wiring system.
- Ensure electrical connection and wire size are adequate and conform to the National Electrical Code (ANSI/NFPA 70), Canadian Electrical Code (CSA C22.1-94, Part 1 and C22.2 No. O-M91), and all local codes and ordinances.

Double Oven Electrical Connection Details
- Models rated from 7.3 to 9.6 kW at 240 V (5.4 to 7.4 kW at 208 V) require a separate 40 A circuit.
- Models rated at 4.8 kW and below at 240 V (3.6 kW and below at 208 V) require a separate 20 A circuit. This model requires a separate 40 A circuit.
- A circuit breaker is recommended.
- Connect directly to the fused disconnect (or circuit breaker box) through flexible, armored or nonmetallic sheathed, copper cable (with grounding wire). Refer to the Owner's Manual for details.
- The flexible conduit from the oven should be connected directly to the junction box.
- Fuse both sides of the line.
- Do not cut the conduit; the provided length is for serviceability.
- A UL-listed or CSA-approved conduit connector must be provided.
- If the house has aluminum wiring, follow the recommended procedure for connecting aluminum to copper using special connectors and/or tools designed and UL-listed for this purpose.
