Important Information

Battery

If the display becomes dim or the backlight does not function, replace the battery at your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor. The battery included in this watch is for initial test purposes and may have a shorter lifespan than a standard battery.

Water Resistance

Watches are classified into categories (from I to V) according to their water resistance. Refer to the table below to determine the appropriate usage for your watch.

IV 100M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYesNo
V 200M WATER RESISTANT 300M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYesYes

Notes for Corresponding Sections

  • I. Not water resistant. Avoid any contact with moisture.
  • III. If exposed to salt water, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry.
  • IV. If exposed to salt water, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry.
  • V. Can be used for SCUBA diving (except for depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).

ATTENTION!!!

For all water resistance categories, do not:

  • Press buttons underwater
  • Set hands underwater
  • Unscrew the crown underwater

Some water-resistant watches feature leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in any activity where the strap may be submerged in water.

Caring for Your Watch

The rubber gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years. If moisture enters the watch, have it inspected immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor. Do not expose the watch to extreme high or low temperatures. While designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping the watch. Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the strap. To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a mild, neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances such as gasoline, solvents, aerosol sprays, or cleaning agents. When not in use, store the watch in a dry place. Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paints, etc. Chemical reactions from these substances can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish. Some watch models have silkscreened designs on the strap. Clean these straps carefully to avoid damaging the designs.

For Watches with Polymer Straps

You may notice a white powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a soft cloth. Sweat or moisture on a polymer strap, or storage in high humidity, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking. To ensure a long lifespan for the polymer strap, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth as often as possible.

For Watches with Fluorescent Cases and Straps

Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent color to fade gradually. Prolonged contact with moisture can also cause the fluorescent color to fade. If moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible. Prolonged contact with a wet surface can lead to discoloration of the fluorescent color. Ensure the fluorescent surface is free of moisture and avoid contact with other surfaces. Rubbing a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface can transfer the paint.

Watch Features

Some watches feature a rotating bezel. To measure elapsed time, align the bezel marker with the minute hand. After some time, the minute hand will point to a digital value on the bezel, indicating the elapsed time.

Some watches have a screw-lock crown. To pull it out, first turn the crown counter-clockwise slightly. Be careful not to get the watch wet if the crown is unscrewed.
