Detailed Instructions of TTLock App

Download TT Lock App & Register
To manage your Hornbill Smart Lock, you need to download and install the TTLock application. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices.

Registration Process:
Upon opening the app, you can register an account using either your email address or phone number. You will need to enter your chosen contact method, create a secure password (recommended: 8-20 characters with a mix of numbers, letters, and symbols), and verify your account with a code sent to your email or phone. By registering, you agree to the app's Privacy Policy.
Pair Your Phone with Smart Lock
To connect your phone to the Hornbill Smart Lock, ensure your phone is within 2 meters of the lock during the pairing process.
Pairing Steps:
- Wake up the smart lock's keypad by touching it.
- Open the TTLock app and navigate to the "All Locks" section.
- Tap the '+' icon to search for nearby locks.
- Select your lock from the list (e.g., "M203T_2eb76a").
Note:
- Please wake up the keypad of the smart lock when you add it.
- The first device that successfully adds the lock will have administrator permission.
- If the lock appears grayed out and cannot be added even after touching the keypad, try resetting the smart lock or contact customer service.
Generate Passcode
The TTLock app provides flexible options for generating passcodes for your smart lock. You can create various types of access codes tailored to different needs.
Passcode Types:
- Permanent: For continuous access.
- Timed: Valid for a specific date and time range.
- One-time: For single use only.
- Custom: Allows for specific configurations and durations.
- Recurring: Set to repeat at scheduled intervals (e.g., weekdays, weekends).
Passcode Requirements & Usage:
- Passcodes typically need to be used within a certain timeframe (e.g., 24 hours from generation or start time) to remain active; otherwise, they may be suspended for security reasons.
- Passcodes can be 6 to 9 digits long.
- Custom passcodes can be configured via Bluetooth or remotely using a gateway.
Manage Passcode
After generating passcodes, you can manage them through the TTLock app. The app displays a list of all active and inactive passcodes.
Passcode Information:
- View details for each passcode, including its type, validity period, issue date, and time.
- You can reset or delete passcodes as needed.
Note:
The system may generate an 8-digit passcode randomly. You can then choose to change it to a 4-9-digit passcode of your preference. It is recommended to use the initially generated random passcode on the keypad once before making any modifications.
Send eKey
Share access to your smart lock remotely by sending an electronic key (eKey) to trusted individuals.
Sending an eKey:
- In the TTLock app, select "Send eKey".
- Enter the recipient's account (email or phone number) and a name for the eKey.
- Set the validity period (Start Time and End Time).
- Tap "Send".
Note:
The recipient must download and register their own account on the TT Lock app. Once they receive the eKey, they can use the app to lock and unlock the smart lock.

Authorized Admin
Grant administrator privileges to other users, allowing them to manage passcodes and settings for the smart lock.
Adding an Authorized Admin:
- Navigate to the "Authorized Admin" section in the app.
- Tap "Create Admin".
- Enter the recipient's account and a name.
- Choose the validity period (Timed or Permanent).
- Tap "Send".
Note:
The recipient needs to download and register on the TT Lock app. Authorized admins have the ability to generate or modify passcodes directly through the app.

Manage eKey & Admin
The TTLock app allows you to efficiently manage all sent eKeys and authorized administrators. You can view their details and revoke access if necessary.
eKey Management:
- View a list of all eKeys sent, including recipient names, validity periods, and issue dates.
- Access "eKey Info" for specific details and options to delete an eKey.
Admin Management:
- Review the list of users who have been granted administrator privileges.
Records
Keep track of all access activities with the smart lock through the app's detailed records feature.
Activity Log:
- The records section logs events such as "Locked", "Unlock with APP", and "Unlock with Passcode".
- Each entry typically includes the time of the event and the method used for unlocking or locking.
Note:
- All unlock and lock events are recorded, with the exception of access using the physical key.
- The recorded data is retained until the smart lock is reset.
Settings: Admin Passcode
The settings menu within the TTLock app provides comprehensive control over your smart lock's features, including the admin passcode.
Admin Passcode Configuration:
- Access the "Basics" settings to view and manage the "Admin Passcode".
- You can change the admin passcode at any time.
- If all other generated passcodes are deleted, the admin passcode can still be used to unlock the door.
Note:
- The admin passcode can be changed as you like.
- When all generated passcodes are deleted, you can use the admin passcode to unlock.
Settings: Auto Lock
Configure the auto-lock functionality to ensure your door is secured automatically after a set period.
Auto Lock Configuration:
- Navigate to "Auto Lock" within the Settings menu.
- Customize the auto-lock duration from preset options (e.g., 5s, 15s, 30s, 60s) or set a custom time.
- Once configured, the lock will automatically engage after the specified time, even if the door is not fully closed.
- Remember to click "Save" after making your auto-lock time selections.
Note:
Customize auto-lock time on the app. The smart lock will auto-lock after you close the door. (It will still lock even if the door is not closed.) Please click "save" after setting.
Settings: Touch to Unlock
Manage the "Touch to Unlock" feature, which allows for quick access using a single digit on the keypad.
Touch to Unlock Feature:
- This setting is located within the main "Settings" menu.
- Disabling "Touch to Unlock" will prevent the lock from opening when only one digit is entered on the keypad.
Note:
Question: Why does my lock unlock when I just input one number on the keypad?
Solution: Please open the app, click the upper right menu [☰], navigate to 'Settings', and turn off the 'Touch to Unlock' option.
