(2) Install Deadbolt and Strike Plate
Insert the deadbolt, ensuring it is retracted (unlocked) and the "UP" icon is oriented correctly. Secure the deadbolt and strike plate with the provided screws.
(3) Install the Front Panel
Adjust the lock spindle to a horizontal position. Test that the deadbolt responds when the spindle is turned. Ensure the deadbolt remains retracted during installation; do not insert the key.
(4) Install the Mounting Plate & Route the IC Wire
Route the IC wire through the designated hole, ensuring correct plate orientation. Secure the mounting plate using the two mounting plate screws. Confirm the spindle remains horizontal.
(5) Install the Back Panel
For a left-hand door, set the toggle button to "L" and the thumbturn to horizontal. For a right-hand door, set the toggle button to "R" and the thumbturn to vertical. Connect the IC wire securely to the wire connector. Install the related screws to secure the back panel. Finally, install the batteries and the cover.
(6) Test
Test the deadbolt operation. Insert batteries and test the keypad: enter #123456# to unlock, press and hold # to lock. If the default code does not work, reset the lock. If the lock operates backward, re-check the back panel installation.
(7) How to reset
Method 1: Remove one battery, wait 8 seconds, reinsert it, and quickly press the reset button for 10 seconds until prompted. Enter #000# to confirm.
