Addendum - Suggested Wiring Configuration

Vehicle Information

Vehicle: HYUNDAI Azera

Years: 2007-2011

Firmware Version

Minimum Firmware Version: 76.[60]

To add firmware version and options, use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool (sold separately).

Programming Bypass Option

If equipped with OEM alarm: Program bypass option.

If the vehicle is not equipped with a functional hood pin:

Mandatory Installation - Hood Pin

Hood Pin: Hood status: The hood pin switch must be installed. If the vehicle can be remote started with the hood open, set function A11 to OFF/NON.

Notice: The installation of safety elements is mandatory. The hood pin is an essential security element and must be installed.

Warning: This module must be installed by a qualified technician. A wrong connection can cause permanent damage to the vehicle.

Note for US Models: If the PATS Data wire is not present, the vehicle is not equipped with an immobilizer. Use programming #2 for CAN functions.

Programming Procedure

General Steps:

  1. Press and hold the programming button. Connect the 4-PIN Data-link harness (Black connector). LEDs (Blue, Yellow, Red, Blue & Red) will illuminate alternatively.
  2. Release the programming button when the YELLOW LED is ON. If the LED is not solid YELLOW, disconnect and restart from step 1.
  3. Insert the required remaining connectors.
  4. Turn the key to the Ignition ON/RUN position. The RED LED will flash 10 times. Wait until the RED and YELLOW LEDs turn ON.
  5. Turn the key to the OFF position.

Programming may take up to 5 minutes.

To test features: Use the remote of the remote starter or security system.

Programming Procedure (Vehicles without PATS Data Wire)

  1. Press and hold the programming button. Connect the 4-PIN Data-link harness (Black connector). LEDs (Blue, Red, Yellow, Blue & Red) will illuminate alternatively.
  2. Release the programming button when the BLUE LED is ON. If the LED is not solid BLUE, disconnect and restart from step 1.
  3. Insert the required remaining connectors.
  4. Turn the key to the Ignition ON/RUN position. The BLUE LED will flash rapidly.
  5. Turn the key to the OFF position. The BLUE LED will turn off.

The module is now programmed.
