Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Prepare Mounting Plate
- Loosely thread the screws (AA) and the hex nuts (DD) onto the round mounting plate (CC). Adjust the screw length according to the fixture canopy depth.
- Attach this assembly to the outlet box using the mounting screws supplied with the outlet box (not provided). Tighten securely.
- Lift the fixture to the mounting surface and pass the screws (AA) through the two mounting holes in the fixture canopy. While holding the fixture, thread the screws (AA) in or out of the round mounting plate (CC) until approximately 3/16" [5mm] of threads are showing. This adjustment ensures proper mounting.
- Next, take the fixture down and go back and tighten the hex nuts (DD) up against the round mounting plate (CC) to secure the correct thread length for mounting.
Diagrams illustrate the process of assembling the mounting plate with screws and nuts, and adjusting the screw length for the fixture canopy.
Step 2: Wiring the Fixture
- Strip approximately 3/8" of insulation from the electrical wire ends.
- Using wire nuts (BB), connect the WHITE fixture wire to the WHITE supply wire from the outlet box.
- Connect the BLACK fixture wire to the BLACK supply wire from the outlet box.
- Connect the fixture ground wire (bare copper or green) and the supply ground wire (bare copper or green) using a wire nut (BB) or by fastening to the ground screw on the round mounting plate.
- Push all wire connections carefully into the outlet box.
Diagrams show the correct wiring connections: white fixture wire to white supply wire, black fixture wire to black supply wire, and ground wire to ground connection, all secured with wire nuts.
Step 3: Mount the Fixture
- Slide the fixture's mounting holes over the screws (AA) that are now protruding from the mounting plate.
- Using the cylinder nuts (EE), tighten the fixture securely against the mounting surface.
- Note: The fixture can be mounted in either an upward or downward orientation.
Diagrams show the fixture being aligned with the mounting screws and then secured using cylinder nuts.
Step 4: Attach Glass Shades
- Attach the glass shades (B) to the fixture (A).
- Use the socket rings (C) to secure the glass shades, tightening them modestly.
Diagrams illustrate the process of attaching the glass shades to the fixture and securing them with the provided socket rings.
Step 5: Install Lamps
- Thread the lamps (not included) into the fixture sockets.
- Use 100-watt MAX incandescent medium base lamps, SBCFL, or SBLED bulbs.
Diagrams show the final step of screwing the light bulbs into the fixture sockets.
