Assembly Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Mounting Plate and Outlet Box

Loosely thread the screws (AA) and hex nuts (DD) onto the round mounting plate (CC) as shown. Adjust the screw length according to the fixture canopy depth.

Attach this assembly to the outlet box using the mounting screws supplied with the outlet box (not provided). Tighten securely.

Lift the fixture and pass the screws (AA) through the two mounting holes in the fixture canopy. While holding the fixture, thread the screws (AA) in or out of the round mounting plate (CC) until 3/16" [5mm] of threads are showing. This should be enough to mount the fixture.

Next, take the fixture down and tighten the hex nuts (DD) up against the round mounting strap (CC) to secure the correct thread length for mounting.

Diagram Description: Diagram shows the round mounting plate (CC) with screws (AA) and hex nuts (DD) attached. An inset shows an 'INCORRECT' and 'CORRECT' illustration of how the screws should be threaded through the mounting plate and canopy, indicating that 3/16" [5mm] of thread should be visible for proper attachment. It also shows tightening the hex nuts against the mounting strap.

Step 2: Install Fixture Stem and Canopy

Determine the hanging length of your fixture by adding or removing stems. The electrical and ground wires may also optionally be cut to length, but leave at least 6 inches minimum of wire past the canopy (E) 90° swivel to allow for easy connections.

Pass wires through the four pipe sections (FF, HH, GG), tightening the stem assembly to the fixture (A) as you go to avoid twisting the wires. Pass wires through the canopy (E). Tighten the 90° swivel of the canopy (E) to the stem assembly.

Diagram Description: Diagram illustrates the assembly of the fixture's stem, showing multiple pipe sections (FF, HH, GG) being connected. Electrical wires and a ground wire are shown passing through these pipes and into the canopy (E). The 90° swivel mechanism of the canopy is also depicted.

Step 3: Connect Wiring

Strip 3/8" of insulation from the electrical wire ends.

Using wire nuts (BB), connect the RIBBED fixture wire to the WHITE supply wire from the outlet box. Connect the SMOOTH fixture wire to the BLACK supply wire.

Connect the fixture ground wire and supply ground wire using a wire nut or by fastening to the ground screw on the round mounting plate. Push all wire connections into the outlet box.

Diagram Description: Diagram shows the wiring connections. It depicts the ribbed fixture wire being connected to the white supply wire with a wire nut (BB). The smooth fixture wire is shown connected to the black supply wire with another wire nut. The ground wires (bare copper or green) are shown connected together with a wire nut or to the green ground screw on the mounting plate.

Step 4: Secure Canopy

Secure the canopy (E) to screws (AA) using the two cylinder nuts (EE) to secure tightly.

Diagram Description: Diagram shows the fixture canopy (E) being attached to the mounting screws (AA) using the cylinder nuts (EE).

Step 5: Attach Glass Shades

Attach the glass shades (B) to the fixture (A). Use the socket covers (C) and the black socket rings (D) to secure modestly tight.

Diagram Description: Diagram illustrates the glass shades (B) being attached to the fixture (A). Socket covers (C) and black socket rings (D) are shown being used to secure the shades.

Step 6: Install Lamps

Thread the lamps (not included) into the fixture sockets. Use 60-watt MAX incandescent candelabra base lamp, SBCFL or SBLED.

Diagram Description: Diagram shows light bulbs being screwed into the fixture's sockets.
