Assembly Instructions
-
Step 1: Prepare Mounting Plate
Loosely thread the screws (AA) and the hex nuts (DD) onto the round mounting plate (CC). Adjust the screw length according to the fixture canopy depth.
Diagram Description: The round mounting plate (CC) is shown with screws (AA) and hex nuts (DD). The hex nuts (DD) are threaded onto the screws (AA) which pass through the plate (CC). The screws (AA) are then adjusted so that approximately 3/16" [5mm] of thread is showing, which is the correct length for mounting the fixture canopy.
-
Step 2: Attach Assembly to Outlet Box
Attach this assembly to the outlet box using the mounting screws supplied with the outlet box (not provided). Tighten securely.
Lift up the fixture to the mounting surface and pass the screws (AA) through the two mounting holes in the fixture canopy. While holding the fixture, thread the screws (AA) in or out of the round mounting plate (CC) until 3/16" of threads are showing. This ensures the correct length for mounting.
Next, take the fixture down and tighten the hex nuts (DD) up against the round mounting plate (CC). This secures the screw length.
Diagram Description: The assembled mounting plate (CC) with adjusted screws (AA) and hex nuts (DD) is shown being attached to an electrical outlet box. The screws (AA) are depicted protruding from the mounting surface, ready to receive the fixture canopy.
-
Step 3: Wiring Connections
Strip 3/8" of insulation from the electrical wire ends.
Using wire nuts (BB), connect the WHITE fixture wire to the WHITE supply wire from the outlet box. Connect the BLACK fixture wire to the BLACK supply wire from the outlet box.
Connect the fixture ground wire (bare copper or green) and the supply ground wire using a wire nut (BB) or by fastening to the ground screw on the round mounting plate. Push all wire connections carefully into the outlet box.
Diagram Description: Illustrates electrical wiring connections. The white fixture wire is connected to the white supply wire using a wire nut (BB). The black fixture wire is connected to the black supply wire using a wire nut (BB). The fixture's ground wire (bare copper or green) is connected to the supply ground wire using a wire nut (BB) or fastened to the ground screw on the mounting plate. All connections are shown being routed into the outlet box.
-
Step 4: Mount Fixture
Slide the mounting holes in the fixture (A) over the screws (AA) and using the cylinder nuts (EE), tighten the fixture against the mounting surface.
Diagram Description: The fixture (A) is shown being mounted. The fixture's mounting holes are aligned with the protruding screws (AA). Cylinder nuts (EE) are used to secure the fixture (A) to the mounting surface by tightening onto the screws (AA).
-
Step 5: Install Lamps
Thread the lamps (not included) into the fixture sockets. Use 60-watt MAX incandescent medium base lamp, SBCFL or SBLED.
