Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Mounting Plate Assembly and Screw Adjustment
Loosely thread the screws (AA) and the hex nuts (DD) onto the round mounting plate (CC). Adjust screw length according to the fixture canopy depth.
Attach this assembly to the outlet box using the mounting screws supplied with the outlet box (not provided). Tighten securely.
Lift up the fixture and pass the screws (AA) through the two mounting holes in the fixture canopy. Adjust the screws (AA) in or out of the round mounting plate (CC) until 3/16" [5mm] of threads are showing. This should be enough to mount the fixture.
Tighten the hex nuts (DD) up against the round mounting plate (CC) to secure the screw length.
Diagram Description: Shows the round mounting plate (CC) with screws (AA) and hex nuts (DD) attached. An illustration shows how to adjust the screw length for the canopy, indicating the correct 3/16" [5mm] thread exposure. Another diagram shows the assembly attached to an outlet box, and then the fixture canopy being attached to the screws.
Step 3: Adjusting Cord Length and Securing Canopy
Loosen the strain relief (FF) set screws. Pass the wire through the canopy (B) and strain relief (FF) to adjust cord length. Once hanging length is determined, tighten the strain relief set screws to secure the cord.
Attach the plastic screw (C) to the canopy (B) and secure it modestly tight. Do not over tighten or crush the cord; tighten screws just enough to support the weight of the shade.
Diagram Description: Shows the strain relief (FF) and canopy (B) with wires passing through. The plastic screw (C) is shown being attached to the canopy.
Step 4: Wiring Connections
Strip 3/8" ± of insulation from the electrical wire ends.
Using wire nuts (BB), connect the WHITE fixture wire (marked or ribbed) to the WHITE supply wire from the outlet box. Connect the BLACK fixture wire (marked or smooth) to the BLACK supply wire.
Connect the fixture ground wire (bare copper or green) and the supply ground wire (bare copper or green) using a wire nut or by fastening to the ground screw on the round mounting plate (CC).
Push all wire connections into the outlet box.
Diagram Description: Illustrates wire connections: white-to-white, black-to-black, and ground-to-ground, using wire nuts (BB). Shows connections to the outlet box.
Step 5: Securing the Canopy
Pass the screws (AA) through the two holes in the canopy (B). Secure the canopy (B) to the screws (AA) using the two cylinder nuts (EE) and tighten securely.
Diagram Description: Shows the canopy (B) being attached to the screws (AA) using cylinder nuts (EE).
Step 6: Installing the Lamp
Thread the lamps (not included) into the fixture sockets. Use a 60-watt MAX incandescent medium base lamp, SBCFL, or SBLED.
Diagram Description: Shows the completed fixture with a bulb being screwed into the socket.
