Controls and Connections
The PK112A/PK115A features a comprehensive control panel and connectivity options:
Front Panel / Unit Controls:
- SD/MMC Slot: For playing digital audio files from SD or MMC cards.
- LED DISPLAY: Shows current file and playback settings.
- USB Input: For playing audio files from a USB stick.
- INFRARED RECEIVER: Connects to the remote control.
- DIGITAL MEDIA PLAYER Controls: PLAY/PAUSE, STOP PLAYBACK, VOLUME UP/DOWN, BACK, FORWARD, REPEAT (One, Random, Folder, All), EQ (Normal, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classical, Country), MODE (USB/SD/MMC/BLUETOOTH).
- MIC 1/2 Jacks: Accept XLR, balanced 1/4" TRS, or unbalanced 1/4" TS connectors.
- MIC 1/2 Knobs: Control input level for MIC 1/2.
- LINE/MP3 Knob: Controls volume for LINE IN and MP3 signals.
- MASTER Level Control: Adjusts final speaker volume.
- MP3/LINE Switch: Toggles between MP3 player and LINE IN sources.
- PWR LED: Indicates power is on.
- CLIP LED: Indicates internal limiter is responding to signal peaks.

- PLAY/PAUSE: Starts and stops playback.
- VOL-/VOL+: Adjusts volume.
- EQ: Activates EQ presets.
- 100+/200+: Jumps tracks by 100 or 200.

Step 1: Hook-Up and Connections
Follow these steps to connect your audio sources:
- Place the speaker in the desired location.
- Set all controls to minimum: HIGH/LOW EQ centered (12 o'clock), MIC 1/2, LINE/MP3, and MASTER knobs fully counter-clockwise.
- Make all necessary connections. DO NOT turn on the power yet.
- Turn on your audio sources (mixer, microphones, instruments).
- Turn on your speaker(s) using the POWER switch. The PWR LED will illuminate.
- For USB/SD/MMC: Insert your USB device or SD/MMC card into the respective slot. Use the DIGITAL MEDIA PLAYER controls to select a file and press PLAY/PAUSE.
- For Analog Sources (MIC/LINE IN): Connect your audio source using XLR or 1/4" jacks. For MIC inputs, speak at a normal-to-loud level and adjust the MIC 1/2 knob. If distortion occurs, lower the knob. For LINE IN (RCA), set the source's output level to ~50% and begin playback.
- Adjust the LINE/MP3 knob to balance the volume of the MP3 player or LINE IN source.
- Slowly turn the MASTER knob clockwise to reach a comfortable listening level.
- If needed, adjust the HIGH and LOW EQ knobs to shape the tone.
- For Extension Speakers: Connect a speaker cable from the EXTENSION OUTPUT to the extension cabinet's input. Ensure the total impedance is a minimum of 8 Ω.
Bluetooth Pairing:
- Press the MODE button to select Bluetooth (bt) mode.
- Enable Bluetooth on your audio device.
- Ensure your device is searching for connections.
- Select PK112A/PK115A from your device's Bluetooth menu.
- Wait for connection confirmation.
- Set your Bluetooth device's output volume to ~50%.
- Begin playback on your Bluetooth device.
- Use the LINE/MP3 knob to balance Bluetooth volume with other audio sources.
- Adjust the MASTER knob for the final volume.
Step 2: Getting Started
