Hook-up Diagram
The hook-up diagram illustrates connecting audio sources and multiple speakers:
- A microphone (e.g., XM8500) connects to a mixer (e.g., X1204USB).
- The mixer's MIX OUTPUT connects to the EUROLIVE speaker's input via an XLR cable.
- Optional BEHRINGER DIGITAL WIRELESS microphones can be connected via their receiver unit, which plugs into the speaker's dedicated wireless input.
- Multiple speakers can be linked using the MIX OUTPUT and XLR cables for stereo or daisy-chained configurations.
Controls and Connections
The EUROLIVE B115D/B112D features several controls for operation:
- 1. POWER Switch: Turns the speaker on or off.
- 2. IEC Power Cable Jack: Connect the included power cable here.
- 3. Fuse Holder: Location for replacing a blown fuse.
- 4. MIX OUTPUT: Sends a copy of the audio signal to another speaker via an XLR connector.
- 5. Input Jacks (XLR/TRS Combo): Connect microphones, balanced mixer outputs, or line-level signals. The center of the jack accepts 1/4" plugs.
- 6. INPUT 1 & INPUT 2 Knobs: Adjust the input sensitivity (gain) for the respective input jacks.
- 7. CLIP LED (Input): Illuminates when the input signal is overloading.
- 8. LOW EQUALIZER: Adjusts bass frequencies (boost/cut ±15 dB).
- 9. HIGH EQUALIZER: Adjusts treble frequencies (boost/cut ±15 dB).
- 10. CLIP LED (Output): Illuminates when the main output signal is overloading.
- 11. Wireless System Input: Connects an optional BEHRINGER DIGITAL WIRELESS microphone receiver.
- 12. Wireless Receiver LEDs: Indicate the status of the wireless microphone signal input.
Getting Started
Follow these steps for initial setup and operation:
- Placement: Position the speaker(s) on stands or as floor monitors in the desired location.
- Connections: Make all necessary audio and power connections. Ensure the power is OFF before connecting cables.
- Audio Source: Turn on your audio source (e.g., mixer, microphone).
- Speaker Power: Turn on the speaker(s) using the POWER switch. The POWER LED will illuminate.
- Playback/Audio Input: Play your audio source or speak into the microphone at a normal to loud level.
- Adjust Volume: Use the LEVEL knob to set the desired volume. If the CLIP LED flashes, reduce the LEVEL knob. Adjust each speaker's LEVEL knob individually if using multiple units.
- Adjust EQ: Use the HIGH and LOW EQUALIZER knobs to fine-tune bass and treble frequencies to your preference.
Wireless Microphone Setup:
- Insert the optional BEHRINGER DIGITAL WIRELESS receiver into the designated input jack.
- Turn on the wireless microphones. The receiver's LED will flash during pairing and remain solid once a connection is established.
- Adjust the volume using the controls on the individual wireless microphones.
