  • Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods.
  • Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
  • The apparatus shall be connected to a MAINS socket outlet with a protective earthing connection.
  • Do not install in a confined space.
  • Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, on the apparatus.

Battery Warning (CR2032):

  • Risk of fire or explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
  • Do not ingest. Button cell batteries can cause severe internal chemical burns in as little as 2 hours.
  • Keep new and used batteries OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if a battery is suspected to be swallowed or inserted inside any part of the body.
  • Dispose of batteries properly according to local regulations.

Controls and Features

Digital Media Player & Bluetooth Section:

  • (1) SD/MMC Slot: For playing audio files from SD or MMC cards.
  • (2) LED DISPLAY: Shows current file and playback settings.
  • (3) USB Input: For playing audio files from a USB stick.
  • (4) INFRARED RECEIVER: Connects to the remote control.
  • (5) PLAYBACK SECTION: Includes PLAY/PAUSE, BACK, FORWARD, REPEAT, VOL-, VOL+, 100+, 200+, NUMERIC KEYPAD, and MODE buttons.
  • (6) PLAY/PAUSE Button: Starts and stops audio playback.
  • (7) VOL- Button: Decreases volume.
  • (8) VOL+ Button: Increases volume.
  • (9) EQ Button: Activates EQ presets (Normal, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classical, Country) accessible via remote on PK108A/PK110A.
  • (10) 100+ Button: Skips forward 100 tracks.
  • (11) 200+ Button: Skips forward 200 tracks.
  • (12) NUMERIC KEYPAD: For direct value input.
  • (A) MODE Button: Selects USB, SD/MMC, or Bluetooth as the source.
  • (B) PLAY/PAUSE Button: Controls playback.
  • (C) REPEAT Button: Selects repeat modes (One, Random, Folder, All).
  • (D) BACK Button: Skips to previous track/folder; hold to decrease digital volume.
  • (E) FORWARD Button: Skips to next track/folder; hold to increase digital volume.
  • (F) LINKING Button: For fast-linking two speakers via Bluetooth.

Audio Inputs & Outputs:

  • (6) MIC Combo Jack: Accepts XLR, 1/4" TRS, or 1/4" TS connectors.
  • (7) LEVEL Knob: Controls input level for the MIC combo jack.
  • (8) MASTER Knob: Adjusts final speaker volume.
  • (9) HIGH Knob: Adjusts treble frequencies.
  • (10) LOW Knob: Adjusts bass frequencies.
  • (11) LINE/MP3 Knob: Controls volume for LINE IN and MP3 signals.
  • (12) MP3/LINE Switch: Toggles between MP3 player and LINE IN sources.
  • (13) AUX IN Jacks: Accepts unbalanced stereo signals via RCA connectors.
  • (14) AUX OUT Jacks: Sends unbalanced stereo signal out via RCA connectors.
  • (15) LINE IN Jack: Accepts audio via 1/8" stereo connectors (e.g., from MP3 players, smartphones).
  • (16) PWR LED: Indicates power is on.
  • (17) CLIP LED: Indicates signal peak limiting.
  • (18) EXTENSION OUTPUT: Connects to an additional speaker cabinet (min. 8 ohm total load).
  • (19) POWER Switch: Turns the unit on/off.
  • (20) AC INPUT Socket: Connects the IEC power cable.

Getting Started

Setup:

  1. Place the speaker in the desired location.
  2. Set all controls to minimum (LEVEL, LINE/MP3, MASTER to full counter-clockwise; HIGH/LOW EQ to 12 o'clock).
  3. Make all necessary audio connections.
  4. Turn on audio sources (mixer, microphones, instruments).
  5. Turn on the speaker using the POWER switch. The PWR LED will illuminate.

Audio Playback:

  • USB/SD/MMC: Insert media, select source via MODE button, use playback controls to select and play files. Adjust LINE/MP3 knob for volume, then MASTER for overall volume.
  • LINE IN: Connect device to LINE IN jack, set device output to 50%, switch to LINE mode (MP3/LINE switch extended), adjust LINE/MP3 knob for source volume, then MASTER for overall volume.
  • MIC Input: Connect microphone/source to MIC combo jack, adjust LEVEL knob for desired input level. Lower LEVEL if CLIP LED indicates distortion.
  • AUX IN: Connect stereo devices to AUX IN via RCA cables. Set device output to 50%. Adjust LINE/MP3 knob for source volume, then MASTER for overall volume.

Extension Speakers:

  • Ensure unit is off and MASTER knob is at minimum.
  • Connect speaker cable from EXTENSION OUTPUT to the additional speaker cabinet.
  • Turn on and slowly increase MASTER knob to desired volume.
  • Ensure total impedance is a minimum of 8 ohms.

Bluetooth Pairing:

  • Press MODE to select Bluetooth (bt).
  • Enable Bluetooth on your device and search for PK108A/PK110A.
  • Select the speaker from your device's menu.
  • Set device output volume to 50%.
  • Play audio, adjust LINE/MP3 knob for balance, and MASTER knob for final volume.

Bluetooth Fast-Link (Stereo Pairing):

  • Place speakers close together (within 10m).
  • Designate one as Master, one as Slave.
  • Set MASTER knobs on both to 50%.
  • On Slave: ensure LINE/MP3 switch is in MP3 position, set LINE/MP3 knob to MIN.
  • On Master: Press MODE to select BLUETOOTH (bt), then press LINKING.
  • On Slave: Press MODE to select BLUETOOTH (bt), then press LINKING.
  • LED Displays will show "bt:bt" during pairing, then "bt" when connected.
  • Play audio on Master speaker; stereo channels will separate automatically.
  • Adjust LINE/MP3 on Slave for initial balance, then use MASTER knobs for final volume.
