Warranty

1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

The manufacturer warrants this lighting fixture against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. If within this period the product is found to be defective in material or workmanship, the product must be returned, with a copy of the bill of sale as proof of purchase, to the original place of purchase. The manufacturer will, at its option, repair, replace, or refund the purchase price to the original purchaser or consumer. This warranty does not cover light bulbs or the fixture becoming damaged due to misuse, accidental damage, improper handling and/or installation, and specifically excludes liability for direct, incidental, or consequential damages. As some states do not allow exclusions or limitations on an implied warranty, so the above exclusions and limitations may not apply. This warranty gives you specific rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS (Save These Instructions)

  • Read all instructions prior to beginning the installation process.
  • Make sure the power is turned off at the electrical panel box before beginning your installation. Turning the power off at the wall switch is not sufficient to prevent electrical shock.
  • This fixture is intended to be mounted to a 4 in. square x 2-1/8 in. deep metal octagon outlet box. The box must be directly supported by the building structure.
  • All electrical connections must be in accordance with local codes and the National Electrical Code. If you are unfamiliar with methods of installing electrical wiring, secure the services of a qualified licensed electrician.
  • This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

Pre-Installation

Tools Required

Tools Required: Ladder, Gloves, Safety Goggles, Phillips Screwdriver, Electrical Tape, Wire Stripper.

Installation

Step 1: Removing the ring

Loosen and remove the ring (B) from the canopy loop (A).

Step 2: Attaching the canopy and the mounting bracket assembly

Slide the canopy (DD) over the canopy loop (A) and chain. Screw the mounting bracket assembly (CC) through to the canopy loop (A) and adjust the length with the hex nut.

Step 3: Installing the mounting bracket assembly

Make sure the power is off. Pull the supply wires down out of the outlet box. Attach the mounting bracket assembly (CC) to the existing outlet box with the outlet box screws (AA) provided.

Step 4: Making the electrical connections

Attach the ground wire from the outlet box to the ground screw on the mounting bracket (CC), which is green and marked "GND". Connect the negative wires (raised ribs without writing) from the fixture to the negative wires from the supply circuit, the positive wires (smooth with writing) from the fixture to the positive wires from the supply circuit, and the ground wire (bare) from the fixture to the ground wire from the supply circuit using the wire connectors (BB). Wrap electrical tape (not included) around the wire connectors (BB), and ensure they are secure. Push all excess wire and wire connections back into the outlet box.

Step 5: Attaching the canopy to the ceiling

Raise the canopy (DD) up to the outlet box. Secure the canopy (DD) to the canopy loop (A) using the ring (B) provided. Adjust the length of the mounting bracket assembly (CC) studs and hex nuts if necessary.

Step 6: Installing the glass shade

Secure the glass shade (D) to the fixture body (C) and tighten it in place.

Care and Cleaning

❗ CAUTION: Do not use chemical solvents or harsh abrasives to clean the fixture or components, as damage may occur.

  • To clean the fixture, first disconnect the power to the fixture by turning off the circuit breaker or by removing the fuse at the fuse box.
  • Use a dry or slightly dampened, clean cloth (use clean water, never use a solvent) to wipe the interior and exterior surfaces of the fixture.
  • Allow the fixture to dry completely before power is restored.

Troubleshooting
