  1. WHICH CABINET DO I HAVE?

    Please note the following points:

    • These slides can be installed in Face Frame and Frameless cabinets.
    • Drawer side clearance must be 1/2 inch on either side of the drawer box. (See Page 5 diagram for more information.)

Face Frame Cabinet Diagram: This diagram shows a cross-sectional view of a cabinet with a face frame. The face frame is a solid wood frame attached to the front of the cabinet box. If your cabinet has this visible frame around the opening, it is a face frame cabinet. If you have Face Frame cabinets, please follow all Face Frame instructions in this manual.

Frameless Cabinet Diagram: This diagram shows a cross-sectional view of a cabinet without a face frame. In a frameless cabinet, the cabinet box edges are flush with the opening, providing full access to the cabinet interior. If your cabinet does not have a visible frame around the opening, it is a frameless cabinet. If you have Frameless cabinets, please follow all Frameless instructions in this manual.

PLANNING INSTALLATION

When you are finished installing your new Soft Close Roller Runner - the inside of your cabinet will look like:

Face Frame Cabinet Drawer Planning Diagram: This cross-sectional diagram shows how the Soft Close Roller Runner will appear inside a face frame cabinet. It illustrates the drawer, the cabinet structure, the Face Frame Adapter, and the Face Frame Socket. It highlights that there should be 1/2 inch (13 mm) clearance on either side of the drawer from the edge to the edge of the cabinet opening. The formula for drawer width is given as X = Y - 1 in., where X is the width of the drawer from edge to edge, and Y is the width of the drawer Face Frame opening.

Frameless Cabinet Drawer Planning Diagram: This cross-sectional diagram shows how the Soft Close Roller Runner will appear inside a frameless cabinet. It illustrates the drawer and the cabinet structure. Similar to the face frame diagram, it indicates a 1/2 inch (13 mm) clearance on either side of the drawer from the edge to the edge of the cabinet opening. The formula for drawer width is given as X = Y - 1 in., where X is the width of the drawer from edge to edge, and Y is the width of the drawer opening within the Frameless Cabinet.

Installation for Face Frame

PLEASE NOTE: Face Frame Cabinets require a Rear Panel Bracket - SOLD SEPARATELY! SKU 1002772986

  1. Attach Face Frame Adapter: Attach the Face Frame Adapter (A) to the Cabinet Side Slide Right (D) and Left (C) with two screws (B) each. DO NOT use an electric drill to attach. The diagram shows the adapter (A) being screwed onto the end of the cabinet side slide (C or D) using two screws (B).
  2. Pull Soft Close Damper Forward: Pull the Soft Close Damper forward (as shown in the diagram). Use a fingernail or a flat head screwdriver to lock the Damper in the "out" position. The diagram shows a close-up of the damper mechanism, with an arrow indicating to pull it forward until it clicks into place.
  3. Place Cabinet Side Slide into Rear Panel Bracket: Place each Cabinet Side Slide into the Rear Panel Bracket. The diagram shows the end of the cabinet side slide being inserted into the bracket.
  4. Ensure Cabinet Side Slides are Level: Ensure each Cabinet Side Slide is level and attach with two screws (F) to the Face Frame Cabinet. The diagram shows the cabinet side slide being screwed into the cabinet side panel, with a small gap of 1/16 inch (2 mm) between the slide and the face frame. The slide is positioned 3/4 inch (19 mm) from the bottom of the face frame.
  5. Secure Cabinet Slides: Ensure each Cabinet Slide is level and parallel to each other. Secure the bracket to the back of the cabinet with 2 screws provided in SKU 1002772986. The diagrams show two views: 4a illustrates the slide attached to the cabinet side, and 4b shows the rear panel bracket secured to the back of the cabinet.
  6. Install Drawer Slides: Install Drawer Slides (E) on the bottom side of the drawer using six screws (F) (Three on each side). The diagram shows the drawer upside down, with the drawer slide being screwed into its bottom surface.
  7. Install Drawer into Cabinet: To install the drawer into the cabinet, place the rollers of the drawer slide into the cabinet slide. Push the drawer in until the Soft Close Damper catches and pulls the drawer closed. The diagram shows the drawer being pushed into the cabinet, with the slides engaging.
  8. Check Drawer Alignment: Once the drawer is installed, check its alignment to ensure the soft close damper is engaging properly. If necessary, remove the drawer and adjust the rear panel brackets as needed. Once the final placement is achieved, remove the drawer one last time and secure the rear panel brackets with remaining screws from SKU 1002772986. The diagram shows the drawer fully installed and aligned within the cabinet.

Installation for Frameless

  1. Install Drawer Slides: Begin by installing Drawer Slides on the bottom side of the drawer using 6 screws. The diagram shows the drawer upside down, with the drawer slide being screwed into its bottom surface.
  2. Figure Out Slide Fit: Next, figure out where the slide should fit into the cabinet. The diagram shows the drawer partially inserted into the cabinet, with a measurement 'X' being marked from the bottom of the drawer front.
  3. Secure Front of Slide: Next, secure the front of the slide to the cabinet. The diagram shows the cabinet side slide being screwed into the cabinet side panel, with a small gap of 1/16 inch (2 mm) between the slide and the cabinet side panel.
  4. Line Up Slides and Attach: Line up the slides to your marks in the cabinet and ensure the Cabinet Side Slide Left and Cabinet Side Slide Right are level. Then attach with 3 screws to each side. The diagram shows the cabinet side slides being aligned and screwed into the cabinet interior.
  5. Install Drawer into Cabinet: To install the drawer into the cabinet, place the rollers of the drawer into the cabinet slide and push the drawer in until the Soft Close Damper catches and pulls the drawer closed. The diagram shows the drawer being pushed into the cabinet, with the slides engaging.

Marking for Frameless Installation: Mark "X" from the front bottom mark. Align the top of the Cabinet Side Slide with this mark. The diagram shows a close-up of the drawer side slide and cabinet side slide, indicating the measurement 'X' from the top of the drawer slide to the bottom of the drawer front, and confirming the soft close damper is pulled forward and locked into place.
