This guide provides instructions for using the M221 Multifunctional Portable Label Maker.

Note: The Paper Roll is pre-installed in the printer. If you purchased a bundled printer package, it may not include a 40*30mm-100pc Paper Roll.

2. Getting Started
2.1 Downloading the App
Method 1: Search for the "Print Master" app on the App Store® or Google Play™ for download and installation.
Method 2: Scan the QR code to download the app using your cell phone's camera, built-in QR code scanner, or a dedicated QR code scanning app.
Note: Safari browser on Apple devices may require using the device's built-in QR code scanner.
2.2 User Guide
- Remove the protective film. (This step is required for first use.)
- Long press the Power Button for 3 seconds until the Display lights up.
- Open the "Print Master" app.
- Grant permissions as prompted by the app. (Refer to Section 6.2 for details on app permissions.)
- Tap [Auto Connect].
- The app will search for the printer.
- Once connected, the app will indicate "Connected".
- Edit your first label and tap [Print].
- Printing is completed.
- Tear off the label along the Paper Exit.
- Remove the liner from the label.
- Attach the label to a dry, flat surface.
3. Replacing the Paper Roll
- Long press the Power Button for 3 seconds until the Display lights up.
- Open the "Print Master" app.
- Tap [Scan]. (Note: Ensure the printer is connected to the app before scanning.)
- Take out the unused paper roll. Look for the Anti-loosening Sticker.
- Scan the QR code on the Anti-loosening Sticker.
- The paper roll size will be identified, and you can enter the editing page.
- Press down the Cover Open Lever and remove the old paper roll from the Paper Compartment.
- Slide the Guides outwards as far as they can go.
- Remove the Anti-loosening Sticker from the new paper roll.
- Place the new paper roll in the Paper Compartment, ensuring it is in the correct direction.
- Slide the Guides inwards to the edges of the paper roll.
- Extend the label paper out above the Paper Outlet and close the Top Cover. (Note: The Label Paper should face the Power Button and be higher than the Paper Exit.)
- The Paper Exit will automatically feed out a blank piece of label paper, indicating calibration is complete.
4. Identifying Label Sizes
4.1 Scanning the QR Code
- Go to "Home" and tap [Scan].
- Aim the scanning frame at the QR code on the paper roll box.
- Enter the editing page. (Note: Connect the printer to the app before scanning for the app to identify the label size.)
4.2 Finding Label Specifications
If there is no QR code on the paper roll box, you can enter the label size manually:
- Find the label specifications on the information side of the paper roll box.
- Click on [New Label] on the app homepage and select [Newly created by blank label].
- Input the corresponding specifications (Label Width and Label Height).
- Enter the editing page.
4.3 Measuring the Label
- Measure the length and width of a single label with a ruler.
- Click on [New Label] on the app homepage and select [Newly created by blank label].
- Input the corresponding specifications (Label Width and Label Height).
- Enter the editing page.
5. Downloading and Installing the PC Application
- Long press the Power Button for 3 seconds until the Display lights up, and connect the printer to the computer using the provided USB cable (Type-C to Type-A).
- Visit M221.labelife.cc to download the "Labelife" application.
- Install the "Labelife" application by following the on-screen instructions (One-Click Install or Custom Install).

6. App User Guide
6.1 Manual Connection
- Select your printer from the list (e.g., M200 Series).
- Click on the top left corner to connect to the printer.
- The app will search for the printer.
- Once connected, the app will indicate "Connected".
6.2 Permission Description
For iOS users:
- The app requires access to the Internet.
- The app requires Bluetooth permission.
For Android users:
- The app requires Bluetooth permission.
- The app requires permission to search for nearby Bluetooth devices. (For Android 12+, this includes GPS permission.)
- Bluetooth Pairing Request: You may need to pair the device. You can choose to allow access to contacts and call history or skip this step.
7. Safety Instructions
7.1 Manual Cutter and Print Head Instructions
- Warning: The manual cutter has sharp edges. Do not touch the edges.
- Warning: The Print Head can be HOT! Touching it when hot can cause burns. Wait at least 30 minutes after turning off the printer before touching the Print Head.
7.2 Charging Instructions
- Prepare a power adapter (DC 5V/2A) with a Type-A port.
- Connect the USB cable (Type-C end) to the printer and the Type-A end to the power adapter.
- Check the Display for charging indications: "Charging..." when off, or a charging icon ⚡ when on.
- Charge for at least 20 minutes for quick usage, or 2-3 hours for a full charge until "Charge Finished" is displayed.
- Avoid placing the printer on flammable materials like cotton or linen while charging, as it may heat up. Unplug the charger promptly once fully charged.
- Avoid using the printer while charging to prevent reduced charging speed, compromised print quality, and shortened battery life.
8. Cleaning and Maintenance
Ensure the printer is turned off before cleaning or maintenance.
If you experience issues like blank lines, blurry print, or missing characters, it may be due to dirt on the Print Head.
- After printing, wait at least 30 minutes for the Print Head to cool down.
- Use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol or a print head cleaning pen to gently wipe the Print Head surface about 5 times to remove dust and stains.
- Wait 5-10 minutes for the alcohol to evaporate completely.
