Important Notes & Safety Instructions
General Notes:
- Verify your hardware and cooling system (tightness, pump function, fans). This minimizes troubleshooting. Alphacool is not liable for manufacturer warranties of electronic components. Assembly is at your own risk.
- Do not overtighten screws. Excessive tightening can loosen mounting bolts and prevent uniform cooler pressure.
- Avoid using tools like wrenches for connections. Connectors with 8mm thread length may restrict flow.
- Perform a leak test before installation. Water pressure in the loop should not exceed 0.8 bar. Do not use tools on connectors.
- Ensure the cooler contacts all components to be cooled with thermal grease and thermal pads. The image shows the required GPU imprint.
Thermal Contact Verification:
❌ False: Indicates no contact or a bad footprint, leading to poor thermal transfer.
✔️ True: Indicates good contact with well-distributed thermal paste for optimal performance.

Assembly Instructions

Step 1: Preparation
Place hardware on an antistatic mat. Begin by dismantling the original cooler. Depending on its structure, remove fan screws and release bezels. Exercise extreme care with glued coolers, as components can be easily torn off. Keep all parts safe. Clean hardware of thermal paste or pad residues using a solvent (e.g., alcohol).

Step 2: Apply Thermal Paste
Using a plastic strip or thermal paste spreader, apply a thin, even layer of thermal paste to the GPU. The layer should be less than 1mm thick to avoid contaminating surrounding components.

Step 3: Apply Thermal Pads (Memory & Voltage Converters)
Remove protective film from the red-marked 15mm x 15mm x 1.5mm thermal pads and place them on the memory chips. The red-marked 30mm x 30mm x 1.5mm pads are for voltage converters and must be trimmed to size. Remember to remove protective film from both sides.

Step 4: Mount Cooler
Mount the assembled cooler onto the graphics card as shown. If a protective film is present on the cooler base, remove it now. Clean the contact surfaces on the cooler's base with alcohol or a similar agent. The surface must be free of contaminants.

Step 5: Apply Thermal Pads (Backside)
Cut the yellow thermal pads as shown in the picture for the backside. These are placed on the rear side of the voltage converters and the GPU. Do not forget to remove the protective film from both sides.

Step 6: Install Backplate
Place the backplate onto the graphics card as shown. Slight pressure ensures optimal contact between the backplate, cooler, and graphics card.

Step 7: Final Tightening
Screw the cooler together. Finger-tighten screws with one turn each, tightening in a cross pattern. Pay attention to relevant instructions. After approximately 12 hours of graphics card use, re-tighten all screws.
Safety Advice
Not suitable for children under 6 years (contains small, swallowable parts). Never operate cooling components without ensuring coolant flows through the system. Coolers without coolant flow can become very hot, posing a burn hazard, and can destroy computer hardware. Always ensure the pump is functioning when the hardware is powered on.
Important: Do not use tools (wrenches, pliers, etc.) to tighten connectors. Plastic or metal-plastic connections can be easily overloaded, leading to cracks, damage, or coolant leaks, which are not covered by warranty. Use only connectors with a sealing ring; hand-tightening is sufficient. Tool use is only permitted if explicitly stated in the instructions.
Specified Normal Operation
Alphacool International GmbH cooling components are approved for cooling Alphacool computer components. Warranty is void for misuse.
Warranty Information
1. Information, designs, illustrations, technical data, weight, measurements, and specifications in brochures, catalogs, etc., are for informational purposes only. Alphacool does not guarantee the accuracy of this data. Order and order confirmation details are decisive for delivery scope.
2. For warrantable defects, customers are entitled to repair, withdrawal from contract, or price reduction under legal regulations. Warranty period is two years from receipt for consumers (§ 13 BGB) and one year for entrepreneurs (§ 14 BGB).
3. Warranty claims require the original invoice, sales receipt, or an ALPHACOOL confirmation.
4. ALPHACOOL INTERNATIONAL GMBH has the sole discretion to repair or replace defective products or components. Replaced items become ALPHACOOL INTERNATIONAL GMBH property.
5. Warranty claims are handled by ALPHACOOL INTERNATIONAL GMBH or authorized dealers. Unauthorized repairs void warranty and liability unless pre-approved.
6. Costs for product retrofitting are not covered by Alphacool International GmbH.
7. Warranty exclusions:
- Regular checks, maintenance, repair, or replacement of wear parts.
- Incorrect operation or defects from faulty installation.
- Damage from storm, water, fire, overvoltage, force majeure, war, incorrect network connection, insufficient/faulty ventilation, or other factors beyond Alphacool's control.
- Damage from transportation or improper packaging.
8. Consumer rights in the respective country are not affected. ALPHACOOL INTERNATIONAL GMBH and its distributors are not liable for direct or indirect damages unless legally mandated.
9. Alphacool International GmbH does not cover manufacturer warranties for electronic components. Cooler assembly is at your own risk.
