IKEA MALM Chest of Drawers

Assembly Guide

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the IKEA MALM chest of drawers.

  • 8x Screw (Part No: 110519)
  • 20x Screw (Part No: 118331)
  • 20x Wooden Dowel (Part No: 101345)
  • 20x Cam Lock (Part No: 120076)
  • 12x Screw (Part No: 100365)
  • 4x Screw (Part No: 115339)
  • 4x Drawer panel connector (Part No: 153548)
  • 2x Drawer slide runner (Part No: 10056137)

Assembly Steps

  1. Attach 8x screws (118331) into the pre-drilled holes on two base panels.

  2. Attach 4x drawer panel connectors (153548) to the side panels.

  3. Insert 8x wooden dowels (101345) into the side panels. Then, insert 8x screws (110519) into the side panels.

  4. Insert 4x cam locks (120076) into the side panels, ensuring the arrow points towards the edge.

  5. Place the top panel onto the assembled side panels, aligning dowels and screw holes. Secure by turning cam locks.

  6. Attach the drawer slide runners (10056137) to the side panels using the cam locks (120076). Ensure the runners are oriented correctly for drawer insertion.

  7. Insert 8x wooden dowels (101345) into the drawer side panels.

  8. Attach the drawer slide runners (118331) to the main unit frame.

  9. Insert cam locks (120076) and secure the drawer slide runners to the main unit frame.

  10. Insert 1x screw (101221) into the drawer front panel.

  11. Insert 1x screw (101221) into the drawer front panel.

  12. Insert 1x screw (101221) into the drawer front panel.

  13. Assemble the drawer box by inserting approximately 27x screws (101221) into the drawer front and side panels.

  14. The main unit frame is now assembled.

  15. Attach 4x screws (118331) to the side panels of the main unit.

  16. Insert 4x cam locks (120076) into the side panels.

  17. Attach the side panels to the base panel, securing them with the cam locks.

  18. Place the top panel onto the assembled unit and secure it.

  19. Secure the unit by inserting 4x screws (110519) and 2x screws (115339).

  20. Attach the drawer box runners (10056137) to the drawer sides and the main unit frame using 12x screws (100365). Ensure correct alignment for smooth drawer operation.

  21. Insert the assembled drawer into the main unit.
