Assembly Guide

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the IKEA KULLEN unit.

Tools required: Phillips head screwdriver [screwdriver], Flathead screwdriver [screwdriver], Hammer [hammer].

Assembly Steps

Step 1

Attach the side panels to the base panels. Use eight (8x) screws [109041]. Ensure correct orientation as shown in the diagram.

Step 2

Insert twelve (12x) dowels [101350] into the pre-drilled holes on the drawer side, front, and back panels.

Step 3

Attach the vertical support pieces to the base panels. Note the orientation indicators, with an 'X' symbol [forbidden] showing incorrect placement.

Step 4

Secure the vertical supports by inserting two (2x) dowels [101350] into the designated holes on each support.

Step 5

Place the top panel onto the assembled structure, aligning the holes with the dowels on the vertical supports.

Step 6

Attach the side panels to the main frame using four (4x) screws [100214] and the Allen key [100001]. Ensure the panels are flush.

Step 7

Insert two (2x) cam lock housings [118331] into the designated holes on the top panel.

Step 8

Insert two (2x) cam locks [101350] into the corresponding holes on the side panels and rotate them [rotate] to secure the top panel.

Step 9

Slide the back panel into the grooves on the side and top panels. Ensure it is fully seated.

Step 10

Secure the back panel using two (2x) cam lock housings [119252] and two (2x) cam locks [119250]. Use part [103114] for alignment.

Step 11

Attach the drawer runners to the inside of the side panels using screws [405950] and part [105494] (plastic wedge/foot).

Step 12

Repeat the process to attach drawer runners to the other side panel using screws [405950] and part [105494].

Step 13

Secure the top panel by hammering twenty-five (25x) nails [405950] through the designated holes into the side and back panels.

Step 14

Attach the four (4x) drawer handles [153548] to the drawer fronts using screws [158568].

Step 15

Assemble the drawer boxes. For each drawer, attach the sides to the front and back panels using four (4x) dowels [101350] and screws [101350].

Step 16

Attach the drawer bottom panels to the assembled drawer boxes using two (2x) dowels [118331] and screws [101350].

Step 17

Attach the drawer runner components to the sides of the drawer boxes.

Step 18

Secure the drawer sides using two (2x) cam lock housings [103114] and cam locks [103114].

Step 19

Slide the drawer back panel into the grooves of the assembled drawer box.

Step 20

Place the drawer top panel onto the assembled drawer box.

Step 21

Secure the drawer assembly using four (4x) screws [110519] and the Allen key [100001].

Step 22

Insert the assembled drawers into the main unit, aligning the runners.

Step 23

Continue inserting the drawers into the main unit.

Step 24

Attach the drawer fronts to the drawer boxes using two (2x) screws [102323] and the cam lock mechanism.
